UN opposes Israel's West Bank settlement plan; UNSC says, 'Israeli settlements impede peace'

The UN Security Council has issued a formal statement against Israel's plan to expand and retroactively legalise nine output settlements in the occupied West Bank. The UNSC said that such measures impede peace in the region.
