Russia launched one of its heaviest aerial assaults on Ukraine after Ukraine reportedly targeted a Russian refinery, with waves of drones and missiles striking multiple cities including Kyiv. Ukrainian officials say at least 24 people were killed and more than 100 injured as residential buildings and infrastructure came under attack. Reports also describe “double-tap” strikes — attacks hitting the same location twice — a tactic that increases danger for rescuers and civilians during emergency response efforts.
