The Responsible Nations Index (RNI), launched on January 19, 2026, by India’s World Intellectual Foundation (WIF) in collaboration with JNU and IIM Mumbai, marks a pivotal shift in global assessment. It moves beyond conventional, power-centric metrics—such as GDP, military strength, and trade volume—to evaluate 154 countries based on how ethically and responsibly they act towards their citizens, the environment, and the global community.
