Anwarul Haq Kakar, a prominent member of the Pushtun ethnic group who is thought to be sympathetic to the powerful military, was sworn in as Pakistan's caretaker prime minister on Monday. He will lead a neutral political setup to govern the impoverished nation and hold the upcoming general elections.
