Nepal bans solo expeditions on Mt. Everest as new mountaineering rules take effect.
Nepal has officially banned solo expeditions on Mt. Everest and other peaks above 8,000 meters under a new mountaineering regulation. As per the amendment, climbers must have a mountain guide, with a ratio of one guide for every two climbers.
