Lockheed Martin lands multi-year $4.5 billion missile deal

The United States Army has awarded Lockheed Martin a multi-year production contract for joint air to ground missiles and hellfire missiles. The overall contract value, including follow-on awards, is close to 4.5 billion US Dollars. One of the first multi-year awards for precision weapons, the 439 million dollar agreement is part of the Pentagon's effort to stockpile weapons to isolate China.
