Japan releases annual defence white paper

Japan has decided to play a more active role in the Asia-Pacific region driven by the grim reality of multiple crises facing the region as highlighted by its annual white paper on defence which calls it the worst security situation since the end of World War II. According to 510-page report China, Russia and North Korea contribute to the most severe and complex security environment.
