Yoshimasa Hayashi, the foreign minister of Japan, came to India on July 27 on a two-day visit with the goal of strengthening and reviewing Indo-Japan strategic ties. Later on in the day, Mr. Hayashi and S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, would undertake extensive discussions.
