Israel and Hamas have begun indirect negotiations in Egypt to discuss the Gaza peace proposal backed by U.S. President Donald Trump. The talks, also involving Qatari and Egyptian mediators, follow Hamas’ partial acceptance of a 20-point plan, which includes the release of Israeli hostages.
Despite ongoing diplomacy, Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continue, with over 24 Palestinians reportedly killed in 24 hours, as per civil defence and health ministry sources. The UN warns of worsening conditions in Gaza hospitals, with UNICEF calling the situation “dire,” especially for children.
