Reports say Russia may be providing intelligence to Iran about the locations of US military assets in the Middle East. According to officials cited in media reports, Moscow has shared information on the positions of American warships, aircraft and other military infrastructure.
The intelligence sharing is believed to help Iran track and potentially target US forces across the region amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
Officials cited in the reports say the information may include location data and surveillance intelligence that could improve Iran’s targeting capability. However, it is not clear how directly the intelligence has been used in attacks.
