FIFA President Gianni Infantino defied a direct request from CONCACAF President and FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani by making a high-profile appearance at a Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-14 youth tournament in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Montagliani had urged Infantino to stay away to prevent his presence from overshadowing the youth event amid an escalating internal governance crisis.
