Indian Defence Forces Get New Top Commanders

Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani (Retd.) has been appointed as India's next Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), succeeding General Anil Chauhan on May 30, 2026. He will also serve as Secretary of the Department of Military Affairs, tasked with advancing military theaterisation and strengthening tri-services synergy.
