Himachal Orders Shutdown Of 18 Loss-making Government Hotels
The Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered the immediate closure of 18 loss-making government-run hotels operated by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. These hotels, referred to as “white elephants” by the court, have been running at losses for years, contributing to the state's growing fiscal challenges.
