ECB leaves rates unchanged, eyes conclusion of bond scheme

In a widely expected move, the European central bank has left interest rates unchanged and signalled the imminent conclusion of its last remaining bond purchase scheme. Meanwhile, the Bank of England has chosen to maintain its key interest rate at a substantial 15-year high of 5.25%. Governor Andrew Bailey dismissed speculations of rate cuts, asserting it's premature to consider such measures.
