China’s housing market continued its downward trend in December. New home prices across 70 cities fell 0.4 percent month-on-month, matching November’s decline. Only six cities saw any monthly gains, highlighting persistent downward pressure on the market. Tier-one cities showed mixed trends, with Shanghai posting a small 0.2 percent rise, while Beijing and Shenzhen saw prices fall up to 0.6 percent. Tier-two and tier-three cities also saw declines of 0.4 percent.
