More than two million earthen oil lamps in india's temple town of QAyodhya a day ahead of the hindu festival of lights diwali and set a world record. The three-km-long bank of river Sarayu in the holy city glistened when all the lamps were lit by volunteers and people drawn from various walks of life. Adding to its shine was the grand temple of Lord Ram, which is under construction and will open in January.
