African Lion 2026: Body of Missing US Soldier Recovered During Morocco Military Exercise Search

The body of one of two missing American soldiers has been recovered off the coast of Morocco following a massive search operation linked to the African Lion 2026 military exercise. U.S. officials said the incident was not terror-related and appears to have been a tragic accident during an off-duty hike near the Cap Draa training area. Search efforts involving U.S. and Moroccan forces are still underway for the second missing soldier.
