50% of Canadians $200 away from insolvency: Poll

Despite rapid interest rate cuts by the Bank of Canada, Canadians are growing increasingly worried about their financial health. The MNP Consumer Debt Index, a broad gauge of how Canadians feel about their ability to pay down debt, has dropped 10 points to 79, one of its lowest readings since inception.
