As we clearly state each time you open a new incognito tab, websites might be able to collect information about your browsing activity during your session."</p>

<p>The complaint was filed by three users of Google who alleged that Google continues a "pervasive data tracking business" even in incognito mode.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We live in a world with on-demand entertainment now. There's always a song available to soothe our nerves or to complement our 'I feel good' vibe. But there was a time, not too long ago, when all we had was a cassette and had to patiently wait till our favourite song (finally) played. The icon of that nostalgic era, the man who ushered it all, resides now in heaven. Lou Ottens, who invented the cassette and pioneered the CD has passed away. He was 94</p>

<p>As per reports, Ottens passed away on March 6 in Duizel, Netherlands. His daughter has been quoted in news reports as saying that he passed away at an elder care center. The exact cause of his passing hasn't yet been made public.</p>

<p>Ottens and his team developed audio cassette tape in the early 60s. He was head of Philips' product department at the time. After they presented their creation at Berlin Radio electronics fair (1963) the invention changed how everyone experienced music.</p>

<p>Ottens' seemingly small invention led to a revolution. The compact and cheaper device (the cassette) meant that music was no longer restricted to those who could afford. Mass production of audio cassettes meant that music was democratised and even a layman had access to it. Billions of cassettes were sold</p>

<p>Ottens also spearheaded another invention, that of Compact Discs or CDs. He was part of the joint team of Philips and Sony that created the CD.</p>

<p>CDs are relevant till now and audio cassettes had a strong presence till the early 2000s. Mixtapes wwas&nbsp;the word for those who wanted to create custom music collection.</p>

<p>Ottens,&nbsp;though inventor of cassettes was well in tune with the trends decades after his invention.</p>

<p>The company, which has committed support of one million rural women entrepreneurs in India, also stated that its Internet Saathi digital literacy training programme has benefitted over 30 million women across the country.</p>

<p>Google's&nbsp;new Impact Challenge, a philanthropic initiative was unveiled on International Women`s Day by the company's CEO&nbsp;Sundar Pichai.</p>

<p>Google.org, the philanthropic arm of the technology giant, is aimed at addressing systemic barriers and inequities so that women have access to economic equality, the opportunity to build financial independence, and pursue entrepreneurism, said Google chief executive Sundar Pichai at a virtual event.</p>

<p>"We are announcing a new commitment to allow 1 million women in the rural villages to become entrepreneurs, through business tutorials, tools, and mentorship," he added.</p>

<p>"In India, in the past few years, we have invested more than USD 40 million alongside the entrepreneurs, the innovators, the non-profits who are doing amazing work. We announced another million-dollar initiative building on that work, in particular, to help to acquire&nbsp;digital skills to those who are most vulnerable, including women," Jacquelline Fuller, Vice President at Google and President of Google.Org, said in a virtual briefing.</p>

<p>She added that one of the first initiatives under that effort is led by the NASSCOM Foundation, wherein the organisation is getting a $500,000 grant from Google.Org to support one lakh women agricultural workers.</p>

<p>"Whatever these teams need, we are going to be alongside them and help carry out their vision," said Jacquelline Fuller, President of Google.org, at the event.</p>

<p>The company said it will accept applications from teams worldwide until April 9.</p>

<p>The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced that it will examine Apple's position regarding the distribution of apps on its iPhones, iPads and other devices in Britain.</p>

<p>Payment policies related to&nbsp;Apple's App Store have for long drawn complaints from app developers as it requires them to use its payment system, which charges commissions of between 15 per cent and 30 per cent.</p>

<p>Apple said in response that it looked forward to working with the CMA to explain how its "guidelines for privacy, security and content have made the App Store a trusted marketplace for both consumers and developers".</p>

<p>The news however comes as Apple also faces a European Commission antitrust probe into its App Store, while the tech titan remains locked in a fierce US legal battle over the matter with Fortnite maker Epic Games.</p>

<p>The App Store is the only way for developers to distribute their apps for use on the US company's devices to the public.</p>

<p>"The CMA's investigation will consider whether Apple has a dominant position in connection with the distribution of apps on Apple devices in the UK," the UK regulator said in a statement.</p>

<p>The CMA said complaints highlighted also that Apple required "in-app" features, add-ons and upgrades to use the US group's payment system, rather than any alternative.</p>
