Chasing 166 was never a big task for Sri Lanka as Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne added 103 runs inside 20 overs. Nissanka went on to score his century and remained not out on 101 while Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis scored 30 and 25, respectively.

Sri Lanka won the game by nine wickets with almost 17 overs to spare. Sri Lanka skipper Shanaka was all praise for his team after securing the World Cup spot and said that they want to play 'as hardest as they can.'

"To be honest, these bunch of players, they have got their own skill, and they utilised the conditions really well over here. We stick to our basics whatever the condition, whatever the situation is. We want to play the hardest as much as we can. That is what's important," said Shanaka at the post-match presentation.

Losing captain Craig Ervine, meanwhile, lamented the early wickets and Theekshana's middle overs' choke for the loss.

"Those first three wickets put us on the back foot. I think that the partnership between Raza and Williams got us slowly back into the game, and then Theekshana came on...unfortunately, we couldn't recover from that collapse in the middle order," said Ervine after the match.

"None of it will work because Zimbabweans go to the polls with one mission - to win Zimbabwe for change. No amount of panicky despotism by ZANU will stand in the way of change whose time has come."&nbsp;

A ZANU-PF spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In addition to the presidential election, the country will also vote for the 300-seat parliament and close to 2,000 local council positions. The southern African nation has only had two leaders since it gained independence in 1980.&nbsp;

Notably, Mnangagwa was a close ally of Mugabe and has attempted to present himself as a reformer. However, he has been accused of being more repressive than his predecessor who he helped remove from power.&nbsp;

The southern African nation is also in the midst of an economic crisis which has been attributed to Mugabe’s leadership. The opposition parties have reportedly also blamed the current government for corruption and economic mismanagement while Mnangagwa defending his ZANU-PF-led government blamed Western sanctions for the country’s financial and economic woes.&nbsp;

The US embassy, took to Twitter, on May 26 posted an image and called for Zimbabweans to “Register to vote and make sure your voice is heard.” The foreign ministry said the tweet was against diplomatic protocols. However, US Embassy spokeswoman Meg Riggs said that they stand by their message of calling for peace during the election season and called the process a part of a “functioning democracy.”

"I wish to express my profound gratitude for electing me and endorsing me as the party's sole (presidential) candidate," Mnangagwa said at the event.

Mnangagwa prevailed in contested elections in 2018 that Nelson Chamisa, his primary competitor, claims were manipulated to give him the victory.

"Our party stands solid, rejuvenated and unshakeable. ZANU-PF is ready. Nothing will stand in our way," Mnangagwa told some 3,000 delegates at the congress in Harare.

Mnangagwa implored his followers to abstain from violence while standing in front of them in a bright yellow jacket bearing his photo and a matching baseball cap.

The key populations WHO was referring to reportedly include sex workers, men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs, people in prisons, and transgender people. According to the local media, in most African nations, sex workers and people from the LGBTQIA+ community are often overlooked in the context of access to healthcare because of “laws and societal segregation”.&nbsp;

According to WHO, the intramuscular injectable long-acting form of PrEP has to be administered with the first two injections four weeks apart, followed thereafter by an injection every eight weeks. CAB-LA injections every two months are safe and highly effective in reducing the risk of contracting HIV, said the report.&nbsp;

In a statement, the WHO has also welcomed this decision and called it a “crucial step” for the African nation, adding that it&nbsp;would support them “to design and develop programmes so that CAB-LA can be implemented, safely and effectively, for greatest impact”.&nbsp;

Zimbabwe has seen AIDS-related deaths fall from at least 130,000 in 2002 to 20,000 in 2021, said media reports. Last year, the country also launched the 90-90-90 initiative which aims to end AIDS&nbsp;by 2030 it refers to 90% of people living with HIV knowing their status, 90% getting antiretroviral treatment and 90% having the virus suppressed.&nbsp;

The central bank governor John Mangudya said in a statement on Monday that the coins will be available for sale from July 25 in local currency, US dollars, and other foreign currencies at a price based on the prevailing international price of gold and the cost of production.

The "Mosi-oa-tunya" coin, named after Victoria falls, can be converted into cash and be traded locally and internationally, the central bank said.
