<p>In India's Madhya Pradesh, the city of Indore has set an amazing green record by planting over 1.2 million (12 lakhs) saplings within 24 hours on Saturday (Jul&nbsp;13).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The record has been registered in the Guinness Book of World Records under the title "Most trees planted by a team within 24 hours" announced a consultant working with Guinness World Records.</p>

<h2><strong>India's cleanest country</strong></h2>

<p>Indore has been declared the nation's cleanest city six times in a row. The record-breaking sapling plantation drive further reinforces the city's commitment to environmental sustainability.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking to news agency ANI, Nishchal Barot, Guinness World Record Consultant said that the city has set a world record.</p>

<p>"More than 12 lakh trees were planted in Indore within 24 hours. The title of this Guinness world record was 'Most trees planted by a team within 24 hours'."</p>

<p>He said that the team started their record-making attempt on July 13 at 7:03 pm, and it continued till 7:03 pm on July 14.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Where were the saplings planted?</strong></h2>

<p>The tree saplings have been planted in the Revati Range plantation, which was divided into 9 zones and 100 sub-zones.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Amazingly, Indore broke the previous record in merely 22 hours. The whole plantation drive was monitored through 100 cameras.</p>

<p>"The good thing is that Indore broke the old record at 5 pm. Assam held the old record for planting 9,26,000 trees in 24 hours. The record was broken at 5 pm and a new record was made," said Barot.</p>

<p>"Then the counting started and then we got to know that more than 12 lakh trees had been planted. The numbers will be released later," he said, adding that the final record certificate will come from London.</p>

<p>"However, we have handed the certificate of the new world record to CM Mohan Yadav. Right now, a provisional certificate is being given. After the final numbers, the certificate will come from London, in which numbers will be mentioned that by this number, the record is being broken," said the Guinness World Record Consultant.</p>

<p>Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister on X congratulated the team and said, "Inspired by our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and with the honourable presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah ji, Madhya Pradesh has proudly achieved this remarkable feat, conveying a powerful message of nature conservation and dedicated service to Mother Earth."</p>

<p>A British adventurer, Jamie McDonald also known as the "Adventureman" recently announced that he has set a new world record: the fastest time to visit the new Seven Wonders of the World in less than seven days.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As confirmed by the World Guinness Records, Jamie during his trip travelled across four continents and landed in nine counties, flew on 13 flights, rode 16 trains, nine buses, four trains and one toboggan to cover about 22,856 miles in 6 days, 16 hours and 14 minutes. He visited the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal in India, Petra in Jordan, the Colosseum in Rome, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Chichen Itza in Mexico and Machu Picchu in Peru.</p>

<p>After exploring the ancient city he boarded a flight to Colosseum. The Colosseum represents Rome's rich history and is an iconic theatre with an ancient gladiator. His next step was Brazil where he visited the awe-inspiring Christ the Redeemer. One of its kind, the colossal art deco masterpiece is the largest platform that offers a breathtaking view.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Continuing his journey, Jamie headed to Peru to visit Machu Picchu, nestled 8,000 feet above the sea levels in the Andes Mountains and finally reached his last destination- Chichen Itza in Mexico. It is an archaeological site featuring pyramids, temples and other architectural wonders reflecting Mayan culture and civilisation.&nbsp;</p>

Insane World Record! British adventurer visits 7 Wonders of the World in less than 7 days

<p>Who doesn't like sandwiches and world records? What if you could be a part of a world record that also involved a giant sandwich? Recently, residents of Mexico City's Venustiano Carranza neighbourhood got the opportunity. The record for the longest "torta" sandwich was broken at the annual Torta festival in Venustiano Carranza. As per a Reuters report, attendees of the fair were able to feast on a 74-meter or a whopping 242.7 feet long torta sandwich.&nbsp;Several chefs from participating businesses worked together to create the enormous sandwich, which weighed about 800 kg.</p>

<p>Once the sandwich was done, onlookers got to taste the delicious food for 35 pesos ($1.5) per serving, reported the UK times. Chefs create a world record by making a 800kg sandwich in under 3 minutes

<p>A Kent student, Callum Pettit, 11, caught a seven stone pound fish; a common carp in a lake near Reims, France establishing&nbsp;a new record for catching the largest one by a junior angler.</p>

<p>The boy has been fishing with his father since he was a toddler. His previous largest catch was a 29-pound mirror carp, reports Metro.</p>

<p>It took him 23 minutes to catch the fish, and once it got on the scales, he along with his father Stuart realised they were creating a record. This massive catch, weighed 96 pounds 10 ounces and was only a few pounds lighter than Callum himself.</p>

<p>In the year 2018, a mirror carp captured at a fishery in Hungary by Dutchman Michel Schoenmakers holds the world record for carp at 112 pounds and 14 ounces.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"For some years now we have noticed that our carmen cherries are Guinness world records in size and this year we decided to do things right and called a panel of experts," Alberto Rosso said.</p>

<p>The Rosso family specialise in cherry production as their family has been growing cherries for more than a century now.</p>

<p>"In spite of the bad year, Italy remains the main producer in the European Union, with almost 30,000 hectares cultivated, situated in Puglia, followed by Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto e Lazio," the Italian farmers’ group Coldiretti told local media.</p>
