A recent poll by Israel's Channel 12 revealed that most Israelis would back former United States President Donald Trump if they were allowed to vote in the upcoming US presidential elections. The survey found that 58 per cent of respondents would vote for Trump, while 25 per cent would support US Vice President Kamala Harris, and 17 per cent were undecided.

When asked about their views on Israel’s political situation, 43 per cent of participants expressed a desire for immediate elections. Meanwhile, 19 per cent favoured bringing Israeli opposition leaders Yair Lapid and Benny Gantz into the current government to replace far-right ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich. A further 28 per cent supported the continuation of the current government.

The poll also asked Israelis who they would prefer as prime minister. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett emerged as a more popular choice than current leader Benjamin Netanyahu, leading him 40 per cent to 28 per cent.

Meanwhile, Gantz had a slight lead over Netanyahu, 34 per cent to 30 per cent and the prime minister was narrowly ahead of Lapid, 31 per cent to 29 per cent.
