<p>Riding aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon Endurance capsule, these four space explorers commenced a mission projected to last over six months.</p>

<p>Following a flawless launch, the Crew Dragon capsule detached from the Falcon 9 rocket and embarked on its autonomous journey toward the ISS which orbits approximately 220 nautical miles above Earth’s surface.</p>

<p>“We are extremely proud — and I know I personally am humbled — to be a member of this incredible crew, where if you look at our four patches you’ll see a different nation’s flag on each one,” Moghbeli said adding, “We hope this represents what we can accomplish when we work together in unity and cooperate together. <h2><strong>Scientific exploration</strong></h2>

<p>During their 190-day stay aboard the ISS, the Crew-7 members will undertake an array of experiments and studies. Their research encompasses investigations into the removal of microorganisms from space station vents, the impact of microgravity on sleep patterns, the formation of biofilms in wastewater to find ways to recycle water and other significant scientific inquiries.</p>

<p>The rupee has lost 2.9 per cent of its value since the caretaker government assumed power on August 15, when it hit a record low for a third straight day.</p>

<p>The administration is tasked with monitoring at least one review of the $3 billion standby agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and guiding the nation towards a general election, scheduled to take place by November.</p>

<p>In order to stop the drain on its dwindling foreign reserves, Pakistan introduced import restrictions beginning in 2022. The IMF rescue programme to support the crisis-hit economy had a clause to remove those restrictions from June this year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“When you open up a restricted trade economy, it results in an initial overreaction,” Fahad Rauf, head of research at Ismail Iqbal Securities, told Reuters.</p>

<p>He added that increased inflation expectations have returned as a result of the government’s imposition of energy tariffs and increase in the price of petrol.</p>

<p>These steps are inflationary and put pressure on the rupee, he added.</p>

<p>A 21-year-old college student in the United States was killed while trying to protect her mother after a horrifying fight where her enraged stepfather allegedly stabbed her over 100 times. The Seattle man has since been charged and remains in custody.&nbsp;<br />

<h2><strong>What happened?</strong></h2>

<p>Media reports citing court documents said that the woman identified as Angelina Tran, 21, woke up after hearing sounds of fighting and struggle in her family’s home in the Beacon Hill neighbourhood of Seattle, Washington.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the documents, her stepfather Nghiep Kein Chau, 54, punched her mother at least 12 times in the kitchen. This prompted Tran to intervene and then Chau began attacking both women, said the prosecutors.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Eventually, Tran’s mother was able to reportedly escape and called 911 while Tran held Chau back. During this time, the two struggled and fell to the floor, before Chau allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Tran 107 times.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Seattle police said they were responding to a reported assault in the early hours of August 7. The police arrived at the home at about 4:55 am (local time) where they met Tran’s mother at the door who was bleeding from injuries to her face.&nbsp;<br />

As the officers entered the residence, they found Chau holding a large bloody kitchen knife which he eventually dropped after being asked to do so, reported the local media. He also allegedly told the police, “I killed somebody.” &nbsp;</p>

<p>The officers also found CCTV footage that showed that the police arrived just 15 minutes after Chau and his wife, Linh Tran had gotten into a violent argument.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Charges against the accused</h2>

<p>According to the charging documents, Chau stopped stabbing several times during the rampage including once to change his clothes and then to grab a different knife. The police said Chau kept stabbing Tran even after she was dead.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 54-year-old was immediately taken into custody and later told the police that he was “bickering” with his wife. Chau had been in a relationship with Tran’s mother for 19 years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also told the police that he was hitting Angelina’s mother because he thought she was going to divorce him and take his money.</p>

<p>Chau has since been booked into King County Jail on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder. He is being held at the King County Correctional Facility on a $5 million bond.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to local media reports, Chau’s arraignment was pushed back after he was medically unavailable and is now scheduled for August 31.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The friends and family of Angelina, who was an engineering student at the University of Washington, have since set up a fundraiser for the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging in her memory.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Shortly after Trump’s historic mug shot was released to the public, his 2024 presidential campaign site released a line of merchandise featuring his booking photo.</p>

<p>In the most recent addition to many ‘firsts’ Trump, on Thursday, became the first sitting or former president to suffer the fate of having to pose for a prison mugshot.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This was after he surrendered at an Atlanta jail and was booked on more than a dozen felony charges stemming from his efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia.</p>

<p>While Trump&nbsp;is trying to prove that he is innocent the White House hopeful’s campaign did not leave this opportunity to cash in on Trump’s historic mugshot and released a line of T-shirts and other merchandise with his booking photo.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The range of products included T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts for $34, a $25 coffee mug and $15 beer Koozies. The tagline under Trump’s mugshot also read “NEVER SURRENDER!” in all caps.<br />

Former United States Donald Trump was formally arrested on Thursday (August 24) on racketeering and conspiracy charges in relation to his effort to overturn the 2020 election in the state of Georgia and while he has repeatedly maintained his innocence and decried a “travesty of justice,” his campaign has other priorities. While Trump is trying to prove that he is innocent the White House hopeful’s campaign did not leave this opportunity to cash in on Trump’s historic mugshot and released a line of T-shirts and other merchandise with his booking photo. The range of products included T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts for $34, a $25 coffee mug and $15 beer Koozies. The tagline under Trump’s mugshot also read “NEVER SURRENDER!” in all caps. This was hours after the former president did in fact surrender at an Atlanta jail before being released on a $200,000 bond. Since that initial report, the situation has evolved, with CNN also engaging with the presidential hopeful, seeking an explanation.</p>

<p>In a July conversation with The Atlantic, Vivek Ramaswamy discussed the tragic events of 9/11. He was questioned about the issue of racism in the aftermath of the incident and how there is a prevalent misconception among certain uninformed Americans who associated individuals with brown skin as potential terrorists.</p>

I have no reason to think it was anything other than zero. But if we’re doing a comprehensive assessment of what happened on 9/11, we have a 9/11 commission, absolutely that should be an answer the public knows the answer to.</p>

<p>"Well, if we’re doing a January 6 commission, absolutely, those should be questions that we should get to the bottom of,” he said. “‘Here are the people who were armed. Here are the people who are unarmed.’ What percentage of the people who were armed were federal law-enforcement officers? I think it was probably high, actually. Right?"&nbsp;Ramaswamy said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When he was asked about why he spoke of police and federal agents under that light, Ramaswamy said, “Oh yeah, I don’t think they belong in the same conversation,” he said.</p>

<p>“I think it’s a ridiculous comparison. But I brought it up only because it was invoked as a basis for the January 6 commission.”</p>

<p>The CNN fact check just made a short mention of how the quote was a bit different but it does not, in any way, can be labelled as a misquote.&nbsp;The only minor difference in the quote was an additional "Like, I think we want…".&nbsp;</p>
