<p>During her Beijing visit to revive frosty relations, Raimondo said that she spoke with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and conveyed complaints to other officials. She said conditions for foreign companies are getting worse following an expansion of an anti-spying law and raids on consulting firms.</p>

<p>High level US officials have been visiting China in past three months in bid to restore relations between the two countries which are at their lowest in decades. The disputes range from those in the field of technology, security and also related to Taiwan.</p>

<p>One of the main complaints from China is curbs on access to processor chips and other US tech. The restrictions have been imposed on security grounds. The curbs are threatening to affect Chinese Communist Party's ambition to develop artificial intelligence and other allied indutries.</p>

<p>The restrictions have hampered Huawei's smartphone business. Huawei is China's first global tech brand.</p>

<p>“Their asks were to reduce export controls on technology” with possible military uses and to retract an order by President Joe Biden that restricts U.S. investment in Chinese companies that might be involved in military development, Raimondo said.</p>

<p>“Of course, I said no,” Raimondo said. “We don’t negotiate on matters of national security.”</p>

<p>The US and China agreed on Monday to exchange information about US export curbs. Raimondo said US hopes this "will increase compliance".</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the two governments agreed to have experts meet to “start to resolve trade secrets issues,” Raimondo said.</p>

<p>“That is one of the big things I hear constantly from business, protection of trade secrets,” she told reporters.</p>

<p>Raimondo also met Premier Li who made an appeal for "concrete actions" by the US to improve relations between the two countries. This was seen as pressure for changes in US policies in variety of areas of conflicting stands.</p>

<p>“We do hope that the US side will work in the same direction as the Chinese side, show sincerity and take concrete actions,” Li said.</p>

<p>The American Embassy said earlier that Raimondo-Li meeting would be a 10-minute "courtesy call". But the meet lasted one hour and 15 minutes.</p>

<p>Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s government is trying to revive investor interest in China and reassure foreign companies as part of efforts to reverse an economic slump. Raimondo said, however, she didn’t discuss the Chinese economy during her meetings and didn’t get the sense her Chinese counterparts were motivated by the downturn.</p>

<p>Three people were on board the helicopter, of which one person died, while another person died on the ground. It was a woman.</p>

<p>The dead woman’s name was not released as her family was being notified.</p>

<p>The deceased on board the helicopter has been identified as Broward Sheriff's Office Captain Terryson Jackson (50), National Transportation Safety Board said.</p>

<p>He served the organisation for 19 years.</p>

<p>The crash was reported just after 8.45 am (local time) in the area of North Dixie Highway and Atlantic Boulevard.</p>

<p>According to reports, the helicopter was headed to a scene in North Lauderdale at the time of the crash.</p>

<p>Along with Tiger Global, DST Global participated in the share sale through its investment vehicle Apolleto Asia Ltd, selling over 3.2 crore Zomato shares for Rs 288 crore ($34 million).</p>

<p>According to shareholding information with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Tiger Global owned a 1.44 per cent investment in Zomato at the end of the June quarter. Tiger Global sold more than 18.45 crore shares on the open market in August 2022, cutting its ownership in the business by nearly half to 2.77 per cent. Before the deal, Tiger Global’s Internet Fund VI Pte owned 5.11 per cent of the online food delivery service.</p>

<p>In the June quarter of this fiscal year, Zomato saw profits for the first time. The company’s food delivery margins increased to 13.6 per cent and operational improvement in the food division both contributed to the profitability.</p>

<p>When contrasted with a net loss of Rs 186 crore ($22 million) during the same period last year, the company’s combined net profit for the first quarter of this fiscal year was Rs 2 crore ($242,000). Comparing the same quarter of the previous fiscal year to the current one, the consolidated revenue from operations increased 71 per cent year over year to Rs 2,416 crore ($292 million) from Rs 1,414 crore ($171 million).</p>

<p>Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee has staggered the arraignment times for all the defendants, with each given a 15-minute interval.</p>
