<p>Leading Bollywood producers, production houses and other bodies have&nbsp;filed a lawsuit in the Delhi High Court against "irresponsible reporting by certain media houses" after there was a lot of allegations that were placed on the people from the industry as part of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide investigation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tnames like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra and Farhan Akhtar, have come together in the unprecedented legal action against two channels - Republic TV and Times Now.</p>

<p>The suit has been filed against Republic TV, and Arnab Goswami and Pradeep Bhandari of the channel; and Times Now and its top faces Rahul Shivshankar and Navika Kumar.</p>

<p>According to the lawsuit, the channels used "highly derogatory words and expressions for Bollywood", said the producers, listing terms like "dirt", "filth", "scum" and "druggies" that were used over airing of several programs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other phrases like "It is Bollywood where the dirt needs to be cleaned"; "All the perfumes of Arabia cannot take away the stench and the stink of this filth and scum of the underbelly of Bollywood"; "This is the dirtiest industry in the country"; and "Cocaine and LSD-drenched Bollywood" have been cited in the lawsuit.</p>

<p>Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, several filmmakers, actors and actress have been held accountable for several reasons including intimidation, nepotism, among other things that led him to suffer from depression, anxiety and thus the death.</p>

<p>In their suit, the producers say that channels along with social media platforms must "refrain from making or publishing irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory remarks against Bollywood and its members.”</p>

<p>The filmmakers say Bollywood is a "distinct and well-recognised class" that is a huge source of revenue, foreign &nbsp;exchange and employment.</p>

<p>It continues: "The livelihood of persons associated with Bollywood is being severely impacted by the smear campaign being run by the defendants. This is in addition to the ongoing pandemic which has resulted in extreme revenues and work opportunity loss. The privacy of the members of Bollywood is being invaded, and their reputations are being irreparably damaged by painting the entire Bollywood as criminals seeped in drug culture and making being part of Bollywood as synonymous with criminal acts in the public imagination.”</p>

Karan Johar reportedly 'shattered' with hatred over Sushant Singh Rajput's death

<p>On Monday, the Mumbai police recorded the statement of noted Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in connection with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.<br />

The Mumbai police are probing all angles of the case and Bhansali was questioned about his connection with the actor. The filmmaker had reportedly offered Rajput films, but the duo could not work due to date issues.<br />
<br />
The director reached the Bandra police station In Mumbai along with his legal team around 12.30 pm and left at about 3:30 pm. His statement has been recorded.<br />
<br />
Both Bhansali and Rajput admired each other's work and the director had offered him films four times, but their collaboration could not take off.</p>

In the video, Sushant can be seen sitting next to Sara as she says, “I don’t know how I’ve done in the film. I’ve really, really tried my best. But I don’t think I would’ve been able to do any of it without Sushant. He has just been the most helpful person to have had. There were days when I was a little lost, I was a little scared, but he was just always hands-on. Whatever broken Hindi I speak, Sushant has taught me." The video is from the time when the two actors were promoting the film prior to release.</p>

She was quite impressed with certain aspects of his personality. She told me he was very intelligent, that he could discuss, you know, Jean-Paul Sartre and he could discuss various aspects of philosophy and engineering and that he had learned how to shoot with a bow and arrow left-handed, and he was very fit as well as very hard-working, and a good actor,” Saif had said.</p>

<p>TV actor Mahesh Shetty, who was close friends with Sushant Singh Rajput has opened up about the late actor four days after his tragic death.<br />

Rajput had reportedly dialed Shetty's number last before he died by suicide on Sunday morning. Shetty had requested for privacy soon after the actor's death but on Thursday the actor wrote an emotional note for Rajput and shared a throwback photo with him.<br />
<br />
In thge long note, Mahesh stated how he had wished the call had come through.<br />

Sharing a black and white picture in which Sushant and he are posing with a bike, Mahesh recalled their initial meeting and endless talks of food, books, cinema, science and much more.</p>

Mahesh wrote, "It`s a strange feeling... I have so much to say yet I`m speechless.<br />

"Sometimes in life, you meet someone and feel an instant connection as if you`ve known him all your life and you realise that you don`t have to be born from the same womb to be brothers. This is how we met... We met as brothers," Shetty wrote about Rajput who he had first met on the sets of 'Pavitra Rishta' a show they both were a part of.<br />

"We hit if off over our love for food and long walks in Film City and didn`t realise when and how we became such an integral part of each other`s lives. Both introverts, both amazingly old fashioned when it came to our friendship, both living in a little private world of our own.<br />

"So many memories, our journeys, our endless chats (he could talk about anything under the sun with equal conviction), food, films, books, nature, science, relations and lots of bakwaas... He was like a kid in a candy shop and that boundless energy laced with all the limitless dreams was always infectious. He made me feel loved. We shared a unique bond and I was always glad that our relationship never needed any public display of affection or a public validation. It was sacred for both of us. How I wish I had captured it all in a lot more pictures so at least I have had something to look back at now. But still, I`m thankful, at least I have the last 13 years` journey filled with memories to cherish and hold on to for the rest of my life.<br />

"His success, his achievements, his work... he was always a perfectionist and no matter what I say, I will never be able to explain the genius in him. I could never express how happy I felt every time I watched his film on the big screen and all the days and nights of hard work he put behind those characters. He was an inspiration to almost everyone around me and that made me even more proud. He was always so full of life with dreams in his eyes. All those who loved him always automatically became a part of my family too and will always remain that way.<br />

"I never thought I`ll ever be writing all this for you brother. Here we were planning on our retirement farming dreams and now this... I somehow always knew that you were the blessed one... But never expected that he`d take you away so soon. I`ll always behold your legacy to heart and wouldn`t want it to go waste. I wish the world celebrates your life as much as your work. Feel as if there is a sudden void which will never be filled again. For every important event of our lives, we were always there for each other. How do you even explain if you suddenly lose a piece of your heart? How do you convince yourself to live with all the why`s, all the other hundreds of questions and what-ifs? I`m sorry but I`ll always hold so many grudges now. How I wish you would have opened up your heart completely. You knew that Shetty hai aur tere saath humesha rahega. Then why??? <p>But in recent years, mental health has become a troubling issue for India. At least 1 in 20 Indians today has a history of depression and 15% of Indians suffer from a mental health issue.</p>

<p>Suicides, especially by the young Indians are a growing concern.</p>

<p>The NCRB data shows that 10,159 students died by suicide in 2018, an increase from 9,905 in 2017, and 9,478 in 2016.</p>

<p>Poverty due to failed agrarian system is also one of the major reasons behind suicides in India.</p>

<p>According to the NCRB, 10,349 persons involved in farming sector (consisting of 5,763 farmers or cultivators and 4,586 agricultural labourers) committed suicides during 2018, accounting for 7.7% of total suicides victims.</p>

<p>“Out of 5,763 farmer or cultivator suicides, 5,457 were male and 306 were female during 2018. Out of 4,586 suicides committed by agricultural labourers during 2018, 4,071 were male and 515 were female, the report stated.</p>

<p>According to one study, &nbsp;at least 82% of Indians are suffering from stress because of work, health or finances. India has the highest suicide rate in South East Asia. At least 338 Indians have killed themselves during the coronavirus lockdown.</p>

<p>Numerous individuals experiencing stress and depression have communicated that it was so hard to discuss mental health issues in India, because of an absence of comprehension about it and the taboos surrounding the topic.</p>

<p>There is a need to end the stigma attached to mental health. India must make mental healthcare more accessible and affordable.</p>

<p>Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajpoot died by suicide at his Mumbai residence as the talented actor left a huge void in the Bollywood industry. Sushant had a special place in the hearts of cricketers and cricket fans for his phenomenal portrayal of MS Dhoni in the blockbuster movie – MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As soon as the shocking piece of news was confirmed on Sunday afternoon, the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Irfan Pathan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina, among other cricketers, reacted to the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as everyone was left heartbroken.</p>

<p>Actress Rhea Chakraborty who was rumoured to be in a relationship with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be questioned by the Mumbai police over the actor's suicide.</p>
