They assist in loading and unloading cargo and freight onto airplanes. Each aircraft requires at least five loaders to handle all these duties.</p>

<p>The salary of airport loaders ranges between ₹ 20,000 to ₹ 25,000 a month, but most make over ₹ 30,000 after overtime allowances.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Ankleshwar, Gujarat, a video went viral showing a near stampede at a walk-in interview for just 10 positions in a private firm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Around 1,800 jobseekers showed up, overwhelming the venue and causing a railing to collapse under the weight of the crowd. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries. These incidents highlight the intense competition for even basic jobs in India.</p>

<p>Taking a dig at the ruling government, Congress said, the video exposed the BJP's Gujarat model and the ruling party was imposing this model of unemployment across the country.</p>

<p>There were reports that due to the great rush during the celebrations, several devotees were injured and fell unconscious.</p>

<p>Stating the reports as false, police said that despite the huge rush, elaborate security measures were in place and that the devotees were sent inside the temple in a controlled manner.</p>

<h2><strong>Elaborate arrangements made for Lathmar Holi</strong></h2>

<p>Meanwhile, the officials on Sunday said that elaborate arrangements were made for Lathmar Holi of Barsana slated for Monday (March 18).</p>

<p>“Without compromising security, every effort will be made to ensure inconvenience-free watching of Lathmar Holi and Rangotsava in Barsana. The festival gives a glimpse of fair in Barsana as several lakh Holi lovers, including international tourists, watch this rare festival,” District Magistrate Shailendra Singh said.</p>

<p>The entire area set for the festive celebrations, as per the officials, was divided into five zones and 12 sectors.</p>

<p>In order to avoid traffic congestion during the Holi celebrations, the authorities had put in place 78 barriers and 45 parking slots in Barsana.</p>

<p>Whereas, 29 barriers and 12 parkings were set up in Nandgaon.</p>

<p>Lathmar Holi in Barsana and Nandgaon would be played on March 18 and March 19 respectively, said the officials.</p>

<p>In Barsana, 45 parking spaces and 78 barriers have been built to prevent traffic jams. In Nandgaon, a total of 12 parking spaces and 29 obstacles have been constructed.</p>

<p>To ensure swift movement of traffic, four watch towers in Barsana and two in Nandgaon have been built. In addition, 150 extra buses will travel various routes to Barsana and Nandgaon in preparation for the Lathmar Holi celebration.</p>

<p>Four ponds in Barsana and one in Nandgaon have been barricaded in order to prevent incidents of drowning.</p>

<p>Despite the event being quite a large one, it is said that there was no commensurate police deployment at the venue.</p>

<p>Kochi Police have maintained that the CUSAT authorities did not alert them or write to them seeking security arrangements for the event. It is said that the stampede occurred at the entrance gate, which leads to a flight of stairs leading to the main venue.</p>

<p>Owing to the congestion at the gate and the resultant melee, many are said to have tripped and fallen down the stairs, with others falling on top.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Red Cross said that the toll which currently stands at 12 may climb. The cause for the stampede is not clear as of now.</p>

<p>Talking to AFP, Antsa Mirado, a communications manager with the Red Cross speculated that "There were a lot of people at the entrance," this as per him may have triggered a stampede.</p>

<p>In a televised speech, Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina called for a minute of silence for the victims.</p>

<p>Rajoelina, who was present at the opening ceremony, said: "A tragic event occurred because there was pushing. There were injuries and deaths at the entrance."</p>

<p>TV broadcasts show people looking disoriented and surprised as they search for their shoes amid belongings that were scattered during the tragic stampede.</p>

<p>Pictures from within the stadium, shared on social media, show the stands packed with spectators ahead of the Island Games' opening.</p>

<p>The Indian Ocean Island Games are a multidisciplinary sports competition that will be held in Madagascar until September 3rd. For the past 40 years, these games have been organised every four years across various islands in the south-west Indian Ocean. The last edition of the games was held in Mauritius.</p>

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele said the National Civil Police and the Attorney General's Office would conduct a "thorough investigation" into the turn of events that led to the stampede at the stadium.<br />

“Everyone will be investigated: teams, managers, stadium, box office, league, federation, etc. Whoever the culprits are, they will not go unpunished,” Bukele wrote on Twitter.<br />

<p>"I am not satisfied with the verdict because this concerned many lives, not just the life of one or two people," she told local channel Metro TV tearfully.</p>

<p>A lawyer representing another family who lost two children told AFP that prosecutors must appeal.</p>

<p>"If they don't it will prove that justice is out of reach for the families," Imam Hidayat said.</p>

<p>Sutrisno's lawyer denied his client did not do his job properly and said he is an expert in his field who had been working in the profession since 2008.</p>

<p>The security official has previously said he did not have the authority to open the doors of the stadium when the crush took place.</p>

<p>Both men, dressed in white shirts in court, have seven days to appeal.</p>
