<p>India’s premier investigative agency, the NIA, on Tuesday arrested Vikramjeet Singh, alias Vikram Brar, a key accused in the killing of famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Brar is a key aide of notorious jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. NIA during its investigations in 2020-2022 found out that Brar actively helped Goldy Brar in executing the killing of Moose Wala.</p>

<p>He was arrested on Tuesday soon after deportation from the United Arab Emirates to India, following which he was taken into custody in a terror-gangster conspiracy case.</p>

<p>According to NIA, Brar became close friends with Bishnoi during their times as students at Panjab University in Chandigarh.</p>

<p>Brar, along with other associates, was involved in various crimes such as extortion, murder, attempt to murder, etc.</p>

<p>He is facilitating terror activities of the gang in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra, and acting as a bridge between Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate and pro-Khalistani elements or PKEs.</p>

<p>The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has so far arrested 16 persons in connection with the case.</p>

<p>Brar, absconding since 2020, is wanted in at least 11 cases&nbsp;of murder, attempt to murder, and extortion under various sections of the Indian Penal Code as well as the Arms Act. Several state police forces have been on the lookout for him.</p>

<p>Brar was operating as the 'communications control room' (CCR) for the Lawrence Bishnoi terror gang from the UAE.</p>

<p>Nalwa was known as the most feared Sikh warrior of the late eighteen and early nineteenth century for taming turbulent forces in Afghanistan. He was also known for his rule in the conquests of areas like Attock, Multan, Kasur, Sialkot, Kashmir and Peshawar.</p>

<p>It has been released on the 553rd birth anniversary of the first Sikh master Guru Nanak Dev to mark the special occasion and&nbsp;has been released under the label 'Sidhu Moose Wala'.</p>

<p>The idea of inking Sidhu Moose Wala’s portrait was supposedly inspired by one of his songs that says, "Goli Vajji te tu sochi na main muk jaunga, ni mere yaaran di bahan te mere tattoo ban-ne".&nbsp;The song in English means, "Don’t think that a bullet will finish me, my friends will make my tattoos on their arms."</p>

<p>The Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested eight people for providing logistic support and conducting recce and harbouring the shooters of renowned Punjabi Singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala who was shot dead on May 29, informed the State Information and Public Relations Department.</p>

<p>According to a statement issued by the Punjab Information and Public Relations Department, Moose Wala`s body had 19 bullet injury injuries and he died within 15 minutes of being shot, as per the post-mortem report, which also stated that the cause of his death was "haemorrhage shock" due to antemortem firearm injuries.</p>

<p>Moose Wala, left his house at around 4.30 PM on May 29 with a neighbour Gurwinder Singh and a cousin Gurpreet Singh, when he was shot dead by some unidentified persons, said the statement.</p>

<p>As per the statement, the persons arrested have been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Kekda of Haryana`s Sirsa, Manpreet Singh alias Manna of Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda, Manpreet Bhau of Dhaipai of Faridkot Saraj Mintu of village Dode Kalsia in Amritsar, Prabhdeep Sidhu alias Pabbi of Takhat-Mall, Haryana; Monu Dagar of village Rewli in Sonipat, Haryana, Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb both from Haryana`s Fatehabad.</p>

<p>The Police have also identified four shooters involved in the crime, said the statement.</p>

<p>Divulging the roles of the arrested persons, ADGP Anti-Gangster Task Force Parmod Ban said, "Kekda, on the directions of Goldy Brar and Sachin Thapan, had kept a tab on the singer`s movements by impersonating himself as his fan. He also clicked selfies with the singer, when the latter was leaving his home, minutes before the murder."</p>

<p>"Kekda has shared all the inputs like the singer was not accompanied by his security personnel, the number of occupants, vehicle details and that he was travelling in a non-bullet-proof vehicle, with the shooters and handlers operating from abroad," the ADGP said.</p>

<p>He also said that Manpreet Manna had provided a car to Manpreet Bahu, who further delivered it to two persons-- suspected to be the shooters-- on the directions of Saraj Mintu, who is a close aide of Goldy Brar and Sachin Thapan.</p>

<p>The ADGP further said that the fifth accused Prabhdeep Sidhu had provided shelter to the two associates of Goldy Brar, who came from Haryana in January 2022, and also conducted the recce of Moose Wala`s home and surrounding areas through them, while Monu Dagar had provided two shooters and helped assemble the team of shooters to carry out this murder, on the directions of Brar.</p>

<p>"Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb had handed over another vehicle to the shooters and had provided them hideout," said Ban.</p>

<p>According to Ban, the Special Investigation Team headed by IGP PAP Jaskaran Singh has been working strategically and cohesive efforts are being made to arrest the identified shooters and other accused persons involved in the crime.</p>

<p>In a latest development in Punjabi singer-rapper&nbsp;Sidhu Moose Wala’s&nbsp;murder case, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police has started&nbsp;questioning gangster Kala Jathedi and his aide Kala Rana. And, it’s being suspected that the entire murder plot of the Punjabi artist&nbsp;was hatched in&nbsp;Tihar Jail’s cell.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the latest reports,&nbsp;a phone number in connection with the singer’s death&nbsp;has been traced&nbsp;back to the Tihar jail.</p>

<p>According to the sources,&nbsp;a criminal namely Shahrukh&nbsp;was found to be communicating&nbsp;with Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar from jail. During his interrogation, it was revealed that&nbsp;the task of killing Sidhu Musewala was given to the arrested accused&nbsp;on behalf of gangsters Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi. Shahrukh also told the special cell&nbsp;that he had tried to kill Moose Wala&nbsp;before, but then seeing the security personnel, he returned.</p>

<p>Not only this, but in the interrogation, Shahrukh&nbsp;has also given a total of 8 names, whom he has accused of helping the killers. Shockingly, it&nbsp;also includes the name of Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh’s manager.</p>

<p>Minutes after Moose Wala’s death, Brar had reportedly&nbsp;claimed responsibility for the singer’s&nbsp;death.&nbsp;Since Brar is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Delhi Police Special Cell is suspecting the involvement of the gang and is questioning gangster Bishnoi and his aides Kala Jathedi and Kala Rana.</p>

<p>Bishnoi is currently lodged in a Rajasthan jail.</p>

<p>On Sunday, the Punjab Police said that the attack on the singer&nbsp;seems&nbsp;to be due to an inter-gang war. Meanwhile,&nbsp;Delhi Police recently stated that Moose Wala’s murder might have a connection with&nbsp;the killing&nbsp;of Vikramjit alias Vicky Middukhera.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the Delhi police special cell, the singer’s name&nbsp;came up in connection with the murder of Vicky in August last year. And, Moose Wala’s manager Shaganpreet was also involved in the fiasco.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Special Cell of Delhi Police recently became aware of the nexus of notorious gangster Neeraj Bawania and Tillu Tajpuria. Bawania and Tajpuria had teamed up with different gangsters from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.</p>

<p>The Delhi Police had arrested about a dozen miscreants of this five-member gang in connection with the murder of Vicky. Those arrested were identified as sharpshooter Sajjan Singh alias Bholu, Anil Kumar alias Lath and Ajay Kumar alias Sunny Kaushal.</p>

<p>During the interrogation, the arrested trio had spoken&nbsp;about the involvement of Sidhu&nbsp;Moose Wala and his manager in the Vicky murder case.</p>

<p>Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced the setting up of a judicial commission under the chairmanship of a sitting judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court to probe the murder case of renowned singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala.</p>

<p>The Chief Minister, while acceding to the request of Balkar Singh Sidhu, the father of slain singer, said the state government will be requesting the Chief Justice of the High Court to get the case enquired into by a sitting judge.</p>

<p>Mann said the state government will ensure full cooperation to this enquiry commission, including roping in of any of the central agencies like National Investigation Agency (NIA).</p>

<p>He further asked the Director General of Police (DGP) to issue a clarification regarding his Sunday press conference regarding the incident.</p>

<p>Condemning the gruesome murder of Moose Wala, the Chief Minister unequivocally said the government will leave no stone unturned to put the perpetrators of this heinous crime behind the bars.</p>

<p>Mann said he has already issued directions to the police for thorough investigation of the case in a prompt and result-oriented manner. The Chief Minister categorically said all the aspects of security reduction of the late singer are also under scrutiny and responsibility of lapse, if any, will be definitely fixed.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, expressing deep shock and grief at the demise of Moose Wala, the Chief Minister said the departed singer was a celebrated artist and a cultural icon of Punjab.</p>
