<p>How much action is too much action? You will constantly ask this question yourself while watching Ajay Devgn's latest directorial venture <em>Bholaa. </em>The film is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film <em>Kaithi</em> starring Karthi and was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. While the template and the core plot of <em>Bholaa</em> remain true to its original, Devgn's film indulges in high-octane, elaborate and sometimes mind-numbing action sequences to take the narrative forward. The result is a listless film that backs heavily on action, wastes talented actors in stereotypical characters, and refuses to delve deeper into the plot which the original had successfully done.&nbsp;<br />

The story unfolds in a span of a night when an ex-convict Bholaa (Devgn) has to drive a truck full of poisoned cops to medical aid with a cook and an IPS officer Diana Joseph(Tabu) for company. The trio is chasing against time as a dreaded drug lord and his henchmen are out to kill Diana, who has seized a massive illegal consignment of drugs. The said drugs worth millions are safely tucked in the dungeons of an old British-made building now serving as a local police station. The drug lord, an eccentric Ashu (Deepak Dobriyal) sends men across the state to track Tabu and the truck she is traveling in while he heads to the police station with his entorage to get back the stuff that the police have seized. The police station is manned by only one constable (Sanjay Mishra) and a group of detained college students. There is mayhem everywhere and Bholaa has unwittingly found himself helping Diana. An ex-convict who served jail time for 10 years, he has just been released and is on his way to meet his daughter for the first time at an orphanage. He is more anxious about meeting his daughter but is blackmailed to help Diana, who is running against time.&nbsp;<br />

The story, originally written by Kanagaraj, holds a lot of potentials. A lot is happening throughout the night. Rival gangs are trying to intercept the truck that Bholaa is driving, Diana has to get the unconscious cops to a police hospital in time and also reach the police station before Ashu's gang reaches and seizes the drugs. While the narrator (in this case Makrand Deshpande) talks about the fear that Bhola's presence ensued in his heydays- I honestly did not get why he was a ruthless man as he is projected to be. A CGI leopard whimpers like a cat at the sight of Bholaa, he kills goons with a <em>trishul </em>like one picks chicken <em>tikkas</em> with a toothpick - yet the fear and the ruthlessness of the character is never quite properly translated on screen.&nbsp;</p>

With no financial support from their son, who is well-settled in America, the couple is now harassed by the local goon Prajapati Pandey, who has been causing problems in their lives. But months later, the movie was released on OTT and people watched it. I liked the concept of OTT- People are locked in their homes but work and entertainment is both possible within their homes.&nbsp;</span><br />

Theatres is a different thing, it has its demands, but on OTT and cinema, acting is the same- just the medium is different. &nbsp;One good thing about cinema is that it's like a book, we read it for two hours and it's finished. But on OTT there are multiple series to watch.</span><br />

As 'Kaamyaab' hits theatres, Shah Rukh Khan sends best wishes to the team

<p>After Bollywood`s favourite father-son duo<a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/srk-aryan-to-voice-mufasa-simba-in-the-lion-king-hindi-version-227880"> Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan joined the cast of `The Lion King`</a> Hindi version; other actors lending their voices for the film have been revealed.</p>

<p>While King Khan will be the voice behind the king of the jungle, Lion Mufasa, his son Simba will be played by Aryan.</p>

<p>Other big names joining in the list are Ashish Vidyarthi who will be the voice behind Scar`s character, Shreyas Talpade will give his voice to Timon, Sanjay Mishra will play Pumbaa and veteran actor Govardhan Asrani will play Zazu.</p>

<p>Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Instagram.</p>

<p>Sanjay Mishra, a 1984-batch Indian Revenue Service officer of the Income Tax cadre, has been appointed as the Principal Special Director in the agency and has been entrusted with the additional charge of ED Director for three months.<br />

Official sources said Mishra, posted as chief commissioner of Income Tax in Delhi at present, has not been empanelled as an additional secretary in the central government and hence has been given the top ED charge in an additional capacity.</p>

<p>He is expected to be empanelled soon and subsequently, will head the ED in a regular capacity, they said.</p>

<p>The ED director post is an additional secretary rank post in the Union government.</p>

<p>The ED enforces two major laws in the country to check black money&nbsp;the criminal Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA)</p>

<p>In a country where PDA continues to be taboo, Sanjay Mishra says his upcoming film 'Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain' is an endearing effort to make showing love to one another, especially for the older couples, more acceptable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The veteran actor says people have a skewed notion about the idea of love and romance and how it belongs only to youth.</p>

<p>"Romance is not just for a boy and a girl, the romance which takes place around the trees and flowers... Some people have a romance with food, so different things for different people. That's how even Mira and Khusro came to be. We have very limited notion of romance. We have made it like that.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Love is beyond all this. It is ageless. You see an older couple sitting in a cafe sharing coffee and you know that's love when they look at you with those eyes. That's romance," Mishra told in an interview.</p>

<p>Directed by Harish Vyas, the Banaras-set film is a story of a couple, played by Mishra and Ekavali Khanna - married for over 30 years. They try to find love and spark back in their lives with the help of the younger generation - Anshuman Jha and Shivani Raghuvanshi.</p>

<p>Pankaj Tripathi also stars in the film.</p>

<p>Asked why love stories focus on youth, the actor says it is a question that needs to be asked.</p>

<p>"Does it mean that after 20 life is over? That all good things will happen below the age of 30? After that, you're done?</p>

<p>"Maybe someone wakes up late. They would want to achieve something at the age of 60. Will you discourage them? How much of a struggle would that be? To establish oneself in one's own society?"&nbsp;</p>

<p>The actor says language may have been created for the humans to express themselves but people have learned "more cusswords" than saying 'those three lovely words'.</p>

<p>In the film, Mishra plays Yashwant Batra, a conservative middle-class man who tries reigniting his relationship with his wife Kiran, whom he realises he has taken for granted for a long time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We need to add a little language in our daily lives to acknowledge these gestures, we have learned so many cuss words, this is also possible. Why does 'I love you' has to have such a short shelf life?&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Language is necessary. We express through it. The language of love has become silent. The world would have been different had it been the other way," the actor says.</p>

<p>Mishra says it is unfortunate that the societal norms do not even let people freely express themselves to their mother.</p>

<p>"We don't even feel the need to say it to mothers. This attitude that has been given to us by the society. For that language to emerge, we need to be in touch with ourselves. Then profess love to the other person."<br />
"But you should not say 'I love you' to everyone," he quips.&nbsp;</p>

In the film, Mishra plays Yashwant Batra, a conservative middle-class man who tries reigniting his relationship with his wife Kiran, whom he realises he has taken for granted for a long time. "We need to add a little language in our daily lives to acknowledge these gestures, we have learned so many cuss words, this is also possible. Why does 'I love you' has to have such a short shelf life? "Language is necessary. We express through it. The language of love has become silent. The world would have been different had it been the other way," the actor says. Mishra says it is unfortunate that the societal norms do not even let people freely express themselves to their mother. "We don't even feel the need to say it to mothers. This attitude that has been given to us by the society. For that language to emerge, we need to be in touch with ourselves. Then profess love to the other person." "But you should not say 'I love you' to everyone," he quips.
