<p>The victims have been identified as one-year-old Vaibhavi Ritesh Pawar, her two-year-old brother Vaibhav Ritest Pawar, and a 30-year-old named Rinesh N. Pawar. All of them were sleeping next to each other when the dumper ran over them.</p>

<p>As soon as the accident occurred, locals rushed to help the victims and were able to send the six injured to a nearby hospital. When police arrived, they seized the dumper and cleared the footpath.</p>

<p>Prince Desai, owner of Gokul Regency told WION,&nbsp;“I was out of town when this incident took place. My manager informed me that the truck driver was abusive and extremely drunk. He could have done anything to any other person; he was that drunk.”</p>

<p>“As I run a family restaurant, this is a place where children and families dine. How could we let that inappropriate person enter, which would have made the place unsafe for my customers. I want to state that the hotel is nowhere at fault for not letting the person in, despite what other media platforms are trying to prove. The driver was highly intoxicated, abusive, and wasn’t even able to walk properly. We did what was needed to ensure safety.” Desai added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Upon being notified of the incident, Desai immediately called 100. A police complaint has been registered, and they are still awaiting further legal action.</p>

Pune police have invoked charges against&nbsp;two doctors and a staffer of the said hospital under the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Police searched properties linked to Dr Ajay Taware,&nbsp;a Casualty Medical Officer Dr Shrihari Halnor and hospital morgue worker&nbsp;Atul Ghatkamble. They found Rs 2,50,000 ($3000) from Halnor and Rs 50,000 ($600) from Ghatkamble. “The amounts recovered from Halnor and Ghatkamble are believed to be the cuts they received. But the key focus of the investigation is now the financial transactions of Dr Taware, how much he received or was promised and by whom,” a senior police officer reportedly said.</p>
