Lionsgate released the trailer of Nicolas Cage starrer self satire ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ that will premiere on April 22, 2022. The trailer released during CinemaCon 2021.

In the trailer, you can find Nicolas Cage saying, “I’m quitting acting, tell the trades,” to his agent, played by Neil Patrick Harris. The agent books him a lucrative personal appearance with a really rich guy (played by Pedro Pascal) who lives on a Mediterranean island.

It’s a broad comedy reminiscent of Being John Malkovich. Pascal’s character is such a fan, he has a showroom of Cage memorabilia including a wax figure of the actor from Face/Off.

In the clip, Patrick Wilson, Eme Ikwuakor and Halle Berry play space shuttle astronauts. A magnetic storm throws their ship in a spin, knocking Berry’s character out and sending Ikuakor’s out in space.
Lionsgate also released the first look of Daniel Stamm’s ‘The Devil’s Light’, about a nun who prepares to perform an exorcism and comes face to face with a demonic force with mysterious ties to her past. Jacqueline Byers stars as Sister Ann, and in the trailer, she’s seen descending the stairs to the basement of a spooky looking convent, only to have a mysterious hand shockingly cover her mouth in the end of the sequence.

Nicolas Cage is taken by surprise with such a favourable response to his latest film ‘Pig’ that recently premiered on July 13. The Hollywood actor returns to critical acclaim in Neon’s ‘Pig’ in which he plays a reclusive truffle hunter drawn into Portland when his porcelain pet is stolen.

Nicolas Cage, while talking to The Hollywood Reporter during the premiere, said, “It’s very nice to have enthusiastic response. It’s a little surprising, but very nice.”

On doing the film, Nicolas said, “I understood the profound connection we can have with our animal brothers and sisters. I know I rely heavily on my friendship with my cats, and I haven’t seen many movies about that, about this relationship between people and their animal friends.”

With the film getting such a positive response, Pig director Michael Sarnoski said, “It’s kind of crazy because it’s like people are just realizing that Nic is a really good actor, which I thought we all knew for a very long time. I know he does very bombastic performances sometimes, but he’s a great actor and he’s been that way his entire career. I feel silly taking any sort of credit or having this movie take any sort of credit for that, but I’m happy that people are recognizing that in this film.”

‘Pig’ is currently in theatres.
