However, six pilgrims were rescued and evacuated by the Army's operations on July 9. 25 tents and 3 community kitchens in the base camps were damaged. four telephone numbers were given by the Union Territory administration and the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) in order to help the families of those who have been affected due to the cloudburst. Due to this incident, the Yatra was halted. However, 2 days after the incident the Yatra resumed.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Maharashtra Weather Update: Moderate Rains in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra. More showers predicted in the coming days</strong></h2>

<p>On July 11, IMD predicted moderate rainfalls in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra for the next 24 hours. And,&nbsp;light to moderate rains was reported in the cities. The civic officials said that there were no reports of waterlogging in Mumbai. There is also a possibility of heavy showers in isolated places. On Saturday, i.e. July 9&nbsp;Vasmat taluka in the Hingoli district received heavy rains which resulted in flooding of the&nbsp;Asana river. Earlier 30 houses were also damaged in Palghar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mumbai is one of the worst affected cities. With waterlogged roads, closed subways, and traffic jams all over the city, the people are suffering a lot of problems.&nbsp;However, on Monday the officials said that as there were no reports of waterlogging, no public buses were diverted. The local train services were also running normally on Monday, even though they were delayed for the past few days due to heavy showers in the island city. According to a report by PTI, Mumbai recorded an average rainfall of 12.04 mm in the 24 hour-period till 8 am on Monday.&nbsp;While the IMD department and Mumbai Police are giving regular updates, people are also sharing videos and images on social media. Some are enjoying the Juhu beach while some are enjoying the rainy season sitting at their homes and relaxing.&nbsp;</p>

The river's flow had changed and water was directed to the village area. Camping sites, tourist camps, and restaurants were also washed away. Landslides were also reported in the Parvati valley resulting in the closure of the roads and traffic jams. The roads were covered with solid&nbsp;material and rocks and some were completely damaged.</p>

<p>Delhi has finally received rainfall after a long break. The ANI also tweeted about the same. IMD predicted light rains in the capital and surrounding NCR region earlier today, i.e., 11th July. IMD announced in June end that Monsoon has begun in the capital. With the city and the surrounding NCR region struggling from the scorching heat, the onset of the Monsoon is a sign of relief. Though a lot of predictions were made regarding downpours in the region, no such rains were reported in the past few days but have finally now. The AQI of the capital also rose up and became "satisfactory".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Karnataka is also under red alert as most parts of the state are receiving continuous rains.&nbsp;Schools and colleges are also shut in 8 districts of the state for the third consecutive day. IMD has also predicted heavy showers in the state, along with a few others, during the next 4-5 days, and tweeted about the same.&nbsp;A landslide was also reported in&nbsp;Dakshina Kannada, in which the death of three people was reported. Karnataka is also one of the most affected states in Maharashtra. "Teams&nbsp;from&nbsp;National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed in Kodagu, Karwar, and Udupi", said the state's CM&nbsp;Basavaraj Bommai.</p>

The arrival of the monsoon may be declared on Thursday or Friday, senior IMD scientist RK Jenamani said. In the next 24 hours, the conditions are favourable for the advance of the monsoon towards Himachal Pradesh (HP), Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Jammu and Kashmir (J-K). In this region, moisture incursion, easterly winds and convective activity have also hiked, the senior meteorologist said. &nbsp;</p>
