Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey has been termed as a 'sexual bully' who 'delights in making others feel powerless and uncomfortable', by a British prosecutor on Friday during a court proceeding. Speaking at Southwark Crown Court, the prosecutor, Christine Agnew, outlined her case against the actor who is on trial in London facing multiple charges of sexual assault.

Agnew alleged that the actor’s “preferred method” of assault was to “aggressively grab other men in the crotch.” On one occasion, the prosecutor stated that Spacey had performed oral sex on a man while he was asleep. 
 
The actor “abused the power and influenced that his reputation and fame afforded him” to take “who he wanted, when he wanted,” Agnew told the court.&nbsp; 
 
Spacey has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The actor faces 12 charges related to incidents that the prosecution says involved four men and occurred between 2001 and 2013. Spacey was the artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre in London for a greater part of that time.

The complainants include an aspiring actor and a man Spacey met at a work event. Under British law, it is illegal to identify complainants in sexual assault cases or to publish information that may cause them to be identified.

Spacey’s legal representative gave a short statement stressing his client’s innocence. He said the jury would hear some half-truths, some “deliberate exaggerations” and “many damned lies".

The 63-year-old star of American Beauty&nbsp;and drama series House of Cards&nbsp;is facing a four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court in south London.

The prosecution will begin outlining its case against him on Friday, once preliminary legal arguments have been resolved and a jury selected.

Spacey was in court Wednesday for the start of proceedings, arriving by taxi with his legal team not long after 8:00 am (0700 GMT).&nbsp;

Dozens of photographers and journalists were already massed outside to capture his arrival. Walking past the cameras, the Hollywood star looked relaxed and gave a small wave to the gathered media.

Spacey has been on unconditional bail since first appearing in court in Britain last year.

The actor's stellar career has been halted by large numbers of allegations of sexual offences, although he has not been convicted of any crime.

Last year he appeared at London's Old Bailey court to plead not guilty to five offences against three men, including four counts of sexual assault and one of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

They allegedly took place in 2005 and 2008 in London, and in 2013 in Gloucestershire, western England.

In November, prosecutors then announced seven additional charges involving another man, taking the total number of counts Spacey faces in the UK to 12.

Italy’s National Museum of Cinema, on Monday, paid tribute to Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey and presented its highest honour, the Stella della Mole Award for lifetime achievement, to him. Making his first official speaking appearance since the #MeToo allegations derailed his acting career, Spacey thanked Enzo Ghigo, president of the National Museum, and Vittorio Sgarbi, Undersecretary to the Italian Ministry of Culture, for having the courage to invite him.

After accepting the&nbsp;lifetime achievement award from the museum, he discussed his key roles during a master class and spoke about the 1999 film 'American Beauty', for which he won his second Oscar.
