Bambai Meri Jaan review: Kay Kay Menon is stellar in a familiar underworld tale

<p>The new gangstar drama is on the way! Today, Farhan Akhtar unveiled the teaser of the upcoming drama titled <em>Bambai Meri Jaan.</em> The gripping gangster drama boasts an ensemble cast of Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Amyra Dastur in leading roles.<br />

On Monday, Farhan unveiled the teaser for the drama that teases the dark gangster world. Sharing the teaser on the social media handle, Akhtar wrote, "From nothing, to something, &amp;&nbsp;&nbsp;then everything #BambaiMeriJaanOnPrime, new series, Sept 14 (sic)."&nbsp;<br />

The 10-episode drama will be released on September 14 on Amazon Prime.<br />

On Monday, Farhan unveiled the teaser for the drama that teases the dark gangster world. Sharing the teaser on the social media handle, Akhtar wrote, "From nothing, to something, & then everything #BambaiMeriJaanOnPrime, new series, Sept 14 (sic)." The 10-episode drama will be released on September 14 on Amazon Prime. Ritesh Sidhwani, who is one of the executive producers along with Akhtar, said that the show is set in the post-independence era. Set in the post-independence era, the story chronicles the life and rise of a young man, Dara Kadri, torn between his father’s law enforcement legacy and his own journey into the heart of organised crime. <p>Bollywood's leading production house Yash Raj Films is venturing into OTT space with a series titled 'The Railway Men'. The show will be based on the tragic 1984 Bhopal gas leak incident and will pay tribute to unsung heroes of the tragedy.</p>

<p>According to reports actors R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu Sharma will be part of the series. Late actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil too has been roped in.&nbsp;<br />

As a salute to the people who saved scores of lives, YRF announced this project on the same day that this tragedy had struck Bhopal 37 years back. YRF`s streaming content production business will be called YRF Entertainment and it will churn out five marquee projects to begin within its first year.<br />

In a statement, Akshaye Widhani, Senior Vice President of Yash Raj Films said, "The Bhopal Gas Tragedy is the world's worst industrial disaster that has impacted scores of people since the tragedy struck the city 37 years ago. At YRF, we are constantly trying to develop the best compelling stories for the audience and this is our tribute to the unsung heroes of the tragedy who, despite saving thousands of lives on that fateful day, are still unknown to people across the world."<br />

<p>Teaser for a new psychological mystery &quot;Vodka Diaries&quot; came out Thursday and Kay Kay&nbsp;Menon makes it to the big screen as a workaholic and serious-about-work detective in the film.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a minute-long teaser, Kay Kay Menon can be seen portraying the role of a stern ACP Ashwini Dixit who mysteriously receives a phone call and he gets swamped within the story that is &#39;Vodka Diaries&#39;. It&#39;s not very clear if Dixit himself is clean in the whole sequence of things but there are definitely some things that would intrigue you as a viewer.</p>

<p>There is a scene where a scared Raima Sen says &#39;she is dangerous&#39; and builds up the mystery.</p>
