They have become forums dominated by the inflated rhetoric of demonstrations rather than a place where different groups can argue in good faith and respectfully disagree."

The appointment of outgoing Taoiseach Simon Harris as deputy prime minister was also postponed. Harris, aged 38, leads Fine Gael, the centre-right party that finished third in the election.

Indian IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) stated on October 29, that it has won a 15-year contract from Ireland’s Department of Social Protection to implement and support the country’s new auto-enrolment retirement savings scheme known as ‘My Future Fund’ according to a detailed report by Business Standard. 

The Business Standard report further explained that, while the financial details of the deal were not disclosed, such long-term contracts are typically categorised as large deals. The India information technology (IT) services company will provide an “end-to-end digital solution” for the automatic enrolment of some 800,000 workers in Ireland.

With over 100,000 Indians living in Ireland, making up 2 per cent&nbsp;of the population, the Indian community plays an essential role in Irish society. The Ambassador acknowledged their contribution: "They play a positive role. After graduation, they have a two-year work permit." He further praised the Indian diaspora, saying, "We are proud of the engagement of the Indian diaspora."

UK, Ireland Oasis reunion concerts sell out after fans face online woes

In a stunning discovery, UCL (University College London) researchers have found that Ireland and Scotland are hosting a rock formation which may be carrying the rare and complete record of "snowball Earth".&nbsp;

The research, which was published&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Journal of the Geological Society of London, discovered that the Port Askaig Formation is filled with layers of rock which are up to 1.1km thick and were probably deposited between 662 to 720 million years ago when the Sturtian glaciation occurred.&nbsp;

The incident, as per the passengers onboard the flight, lasted for less than 20 seconds and occurred when the drinks and food were served, reported Irish broadcaster RTE.

Following the episode, Qatar Airways released a statement saying that a "small number" of passengers and crew sustained minor injuries and that they were receiving medical attention.

It further said that an internal probe would be initiated into the matter.

"The number of patients in ICU remains the same," Adinun Kittiratanapaibool, Director of Bangkok's Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital told reporters, referring to the medical facility's intensive care unit.&nbsp;

He further added that the "meaning of those in ICU are those that need close attention". He mentioned that currently there were no life-threatening cases.&nbsp;

Kittiratanapaibool said that his staff were treating six people for skull and brain injuries, 22 for spinal injuries, and 13 for bone, muscle and other injuries.&nbsp;
