He has also predicted a sharp increase in cases of graft related to the coronavirus vaccines. He says the crime will increase as criminals would want to get the vaccine quicker, and in an easier way.

"Corruption will be rampant in many places to get the valuable vaccine quicker," he said.

Following the warning, Germany has decided to deploy federal police to secure the transportation process of the vaccines. The government has also decided to not reveal the storage location of the vaccines, and keep the locations well-guarded and a secret.

Stock has also issued warning against the possibility of sabotage by various groups of anti-vaxxers.

This&nbsp;statement has come a few days after several countries, such as the UK, US and 15 other countries have approved and started vaccine drives, with many countries planning to approve it soon.

Meanwhile, the UK, Italy and South Africa have reported a new variant of coronavirus, following which majority of European countries have banned all incoming flights from the UK.

The Interpol has issued a "red notice" for the Red Bull heir&nbsp;Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya who is now classified as a fugitive after being involved in a hit-and-run case.

Yoovidhya crashed his Ferrari in 2012 and ended up critically injuring a police officer — who died later. He ran from the scene of crime and all charges against him were dropped in July. This had created a lot of uproar and outrage in Thailand — a country infamous for letting the elite class go free.

National Police deputy spokesman Colonel Kissana Phathanacharoen has confirmed that they have received the "red notice" from the Interpol earlier this week.

After charges against him were dropped in July, a probe conducted by Premier Prayut Chan-O-Cha's office concluded the entire investigation had been "compromised".

The red notice has been issued after the public outcry and protests against the ritual of saving the Thai elites. However, the notice is not visible on Interpol's website yet, AFP claimed.

But Beijing put an end to the business in 2018 to upgrade its economy and force recyclers to tackle the surging volume of domestic waste lying untreated in huge landfill belts surrounding all of its major cities.

The report says "there has been a considerable increase over the past two years in illegal waste shipments, primarily rerouted to Southeast Asia via multiple transit countries to camouflage the origins of the waste shipment".

The bulk of this waste ends up in illegal recycling plants in South and Southeast Asia. These shipments are often concealed as 'non-hazardous' and as 'clean' plastic waste.

Such a vast illegal trade network cannot be run without some street muscle. And this is where organised criminal groups come in.

The Interpol report reveals that organised crime groups have infiltrated the waste sector using their legitimate businesses as a front.

One particular case, cited by Interpol, dates back to August last year -- when a mayor in the south of France was murdered for trying to stop an illegal waste dumping operation.

So what's drawing hardened criminals to the illegal plastic waste trade?

In 2016, the plastic recycling market was valued at almost 35 billion dollars. By 2022, plastic recycling is expected to become a 50-billion-dollar industry.

So there is money to be made from waste.

Illegal disposal plants have a fixed modus operandi. They either bury the pastic in landfills or burn them out in the open. Interpol describes this as crime-driven pollution.

To tackle this, authorities will have to drop their traditional approach of targetting dump sites.

And the Interpol wants probe agencies to adopt a more strategic approach by following the money trail and roping in intelligence agencies.

Ghosn has become an international fugitive after he revealed on Tuesday he had fled to Lebanon to escape what he called a "rigged" justice system in Japan.

The Interpol red notice, which calls on authorities to arrest a wanted person, was received by Lebanon's internal security forces and has yet to be referred to the judiciary, a judicial source told Reuters,

Lebanese government officials could not immediately be reached to say what - if any - action would be taken.

In past cases, where Lebanon has received red notices for Lebanese citizens resident in the country, the suspects have not been detained but their passports have been confiscated and bail has been set, the judicial source said.

Ghosn, who holds French, Lebanese and Brazilian citizenship, was smuggled out of Tokyo by a private security company, a plan that was in the works for three months and involved transit through Turkey, Reuters has reported.

Turkish police on Thursday detained seven people, including four pilots, as part of an investigation into Ghosn's passage through the country, a police spokeswoman said.

She said the other detainees were two airport ground staff and one cargo worker and all seven were expected to give statements in court on Thursday.

Flight tracking data suggests Ghosn used two different planes to fly to Istanbul and then to Lebanon.

Sources close to Ghosn said he decided to flee Japan after learning that the second of his two trials had been delayed until April 2021 and also because he had not been allowed to speak to his wife as part of strict bail conditions.

Lebanon has no extradition agreement with Japan and Ghosn enjoys widespread support in the country of his childhood, where he holds extensive investments in banking and real estate.

Japanese public broadcaster NHK said on Thursday Japanese authorities allowed Ghosn to carry a spare French passport in a locked case while out on bail, potentially shedding some light on how he managed to escape despite having passports held by Japanese lawyers.

No one was immediately available for comment at the office of Ghosn's lawyer, Junichiro Hironaka, or at the French embassy in Tokyo, or at the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office.

A complaint has been filed against star Pakistan keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan for offering prayers (namaz) on the cricket field during the game against the Netherlands in World Cup 2023. Vineet Jindal, an advocate in the Supreme Court of India, wrote to the ICC, saying Rizwan offering prayers during the match ‘raises questions about the spirit of the game.’

“This is a complaint about Pakistan Cricket Player, Mohammad Rizwan, who was seen offering namaz on the cricket field during his team’s opening match of the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 on Friday (Oct 6) against the Netherlands in Hyderabad,” reads the complaint filed by Jindal with the ICC chairman Greg Barclay.

“The act of Mohammad Rizwan when he read namaz on the cricket field amid many Indians is symbolic of the intentional depiction of his religion, which stands against the spirit of the sports,” it added.

Interpol plans to condemn encryption spread citing sexual predators: Sources

Police here on Saturday arrested the absconding brother of slain social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch, Mohammad Arif, with the help of Interpol.

According to Dawn, SHO Mahar Bashir Hiraj said that Arif has been handed over to Muzaffarabad police station in Multan.

Arif had been declared an absconder in the murder case of Baloch. The arrest comes a week after a Pakistan court sentenced another brother of Qandeel Wasim Khan to life imprisonment for murdering his sister.

Model Qandeel Baloch was strangled to death at her home in Punjab by her brother Wasim in 2016. Her father Muhammad Azeem Baloch had lodged a murder case against Wasim, and others in connection with the case.

An affidavit submitted by the parents in 2016 also named other two sons, Aslam Shaheen and Arif.

South Korea's Kim Jong Yang to head Interpol, Russian candidate loses bid

The Enforcement Directorate(ED) has attached Nirav Modi's assets and valuables worth Rs 255 crore in Hong Kong in the Punjab National Bank(PNB) fraud case.

The agency said it has issued a provisional order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for attachment of these assets.

"The said valuables were exported through 26 shipments by Dubai based companies of Nirav Modi to the Hong Kong-based companies controlled by him after the registration of the case (PNB money laundering) in India," it said.

These valuables, diamonds and jewellery were lying in a logistics company vault in Hong Kong, the agency said.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Surat had declared Nirav Modi as an "absconder" in a case filed against him by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for allegedly evading customs duty on import of diamonds and pearls. The Chief Judicial Magistrate had issued an arrest warrant against Modi on June 22.

As he was not available at his known addresses, the court proclaimed the fugitive jeweller as an absconder.

While Choksi is believed to be in Antigua but Nirav Modi's whereabouts have been unkown although reports have indicated that he may be in the United Kingdom. Last month, the CBI had moved an extradition request against Nirav Modi's brother Nishal Modi who is believed to be in Belgium.

Nishal is accused of creating dummy partners and is believed to be a beneficiary of funds syphoned off from Punjab National Bank by Nirav Modi.

Interpol, based in the French city of Lyon, said an operation codenamed Pangea XI had led to 859 arrests worldwide and the seizure of some $14 million worth of potentially dangerous pharmaceuticals.

"Focusing on delivery services manipulated by organised criminal networks, the operation saw 3,671 web links closed down, including websites, social media pages, and online marketplaces," the organisation said.

The illegal drug trade on the internet - and in particular on what's known as the Dark Web - has been growing in recent years, despite authorities shutting down major market sites, as crime gangs have diversified and sought out new clients online.

It is the second significant drugs bust made by Interpol this month.

"I think it is political persecution. I'm not sure he's alive," Grace Meng said in the interview conducted in France, where Meng was based at Interpol's headquarters. 
 
Meng Hongwei, also a Chinese vice public security minister, went missing on a trip to China last month. He subsequently resigned as head of the international police organisation on October 7 after Chinese authorities announced he was under investigation. 
 
China has since said he is suspected of accepting bribes. 
 
"I tell (my children) daddy is on a long business trip," the sobbing Grace Meng said, appearing in the interview only in silhouette to hide her appearance. 
 
Complaining that there is "no limit" to China's power to act against opponents, she claimed to have received threatening phone calls suggesting she was being "targeted" in France.
