<p dir="ltr">The Jammu and Kashmir (J&amp;K) government inaugurated secure accommodation/ flats for the Kashmiri pandit community in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, Bandipora districts, Shopian district of south Kashmir and Ganderbal district of central Kashmir today. The Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha inaugurated the accommodation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The accommodation has been built under the Prime Minister’s package. Over 1200 flats were inaugurated by the LG of J&amp;K today. Around 300 flats are being constructed at a new migrant colony in Khwaja Bagh area of Baramulla in North Kashmir at a cost of Rs 40.22 crore rupees (51,39,468.60&nbsp;US$). Work on most of the flats have been completed while the rest of the flats are said to be completed within sometime.</p>

<p>“Around 576 flats have been completed for the Kashmiri Pandit employees and we are trying our best to complete the 2000 flats by the end of this year. The Kashmiri community wants to live together and peacefully, we are trying to help solve the logistical problems of the Kashmiri Pandits as soon as possible,” said Manoj Sinha, LG JK.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government also inaugurated another secure accommodation for Kashmiri pandit employees located at Sumbul area of Bandipora in north Kashmir. Officials said that alongside the safe and secure accommodations, steps are being taken to provide other necessary facilities to Kashmiri pandit migrant employees to live in these colonies.</p>

<p>The J&amp;K administration is constructing the safe accommodations in all 10 districts of Kashmir valley, for Kashmiri pandit migrant employees working in the valley. The decision of constructing more accommodation was taken in view of the spurt in target killings of Kashmiri pandits in Kashmir.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“It's a big development, it’s after 13 years these accommodations are completed, and the government has promised to the Kashmiri pandit community these flats and finally have been finished. We thank the LG and DC madam for the project. A lot of employees are living on rent, and some are not even earning that much, so this will help them a lot,“ said a local Kashmiri Pandit.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees have also expressed satisfaction over the inauguration of newly constructed safe accommodations today in Bandipora and Baramulla areas of the valley.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>'K' missiles:</strong>&nbsp;India’s submarine-launched ballistic missile, name K-5 (K stands for ‘Kalam’), with a range of 5,000 km is currently under development. Reports suggest, that with the emergence of the S4 and S4* Class of submarines, K-5 developmental trials will start soon.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>The 'Agni' Missiles:&nbsp;</strong>Agni which means ‘fire’ is an Indian missile series. Agni Prime is India’s next-generation nuclear ballistic missile which India has successfully tested already. It is 10.5 metres tall and can carry warheads up to 1.5 tonnes. The missile range is between 1000-2000 kilometres.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>The 'Akash NG':&nbsp;</strong>The ‘Akash’ meaning sky, is the name of an indigenous Indian surface-to-air missile. This new generation Akash missile known as Akash-NG is a successor to the Akash One series with improvements in kill and range. It is built to boost the Indian Air Force defence system and can intercept high manoeuvring aerial threats like fighter jets, cruise missiles and air-to-surface missiles. Vietnam has been closely monitoring the development of the Akash-NG and is already eager to procure it. They are currently using the Israeli SPYDER-SR-MR.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>The Brahmos Sequels:&nbsp;</strong>Coming next in the Brahmos series is the Brahmos’ next generation, which will be half the weight (approx. 1.33 tonnes) of Brahmos and smaller in size. It is being developed for LCA Tejas and would significantly bolster the combat capability of the aircraft. It will have a range of 290 kilometres and a speed of Mach 3.5.</p>

<p>Then there is the Brahmos 2 which is coming up as well – it will be India’s Hypersonic version of the Brahmos that will have a range of 600 kilometres with a speed of Mach 8.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>The Amogha ATGM:&nbsp;</strong>The man-portable Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), Amogha-III has successfully been tested in a field firing recently. It is the latest 3rd generation ATGM which boasts a fire-and-forget capability, requiring no external intervention following launch. It is smokeless and has a range of up to 2,500 metres. It has both top and direct attack modes.</p>

<p>There are also talks of a K-6 missile with a range of 12000kms under-development in India which has already made the West insecure because they just can’t understand why India needs to prepare for a target beyond China.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Zero Shadow Day is a celestial phenomenon that takes place twice a year, where the position of the sun is directly overhead because of which no shadow gets cast on the surface of the Earth. So, at 12:17 pm, no shadow will be cast by any vertical object in Bengaluru.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Zero Shadow Day, the sun moves to its highest point in the sky which results in the reduction of the shadow's length. When a person stands on this shadow, their own shadow becomes invisible, hence it's called "Zero Shadow".</p>

<p dir="ltr">Indian Ambassador to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, has called for a "major course correction" in the functioning of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), stating that "India, the world's largest democracy, along with entire continents of Africa and Latin America, are being kept out of global decision-making."</p>

<p>A 24-year-old Indian student, who was studying B.SC, committed suicide by bursting a firecracker inside his mouth on Sunday.</p>

<p>The deceased boy, who was identified as Brajesh Prajapati from Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, decided to take his life after his family informed him that they won't be able to send him to any big or metropolitan city for pursuing studying higher studies because of their bad financial conditions,</p>

<p>“Deceased Prajapati took the extreme step as he was tense over some issues,” said a police official who was quoted as saying by the Indian news agency PTI.</p>

<p>"Prajapati burst a 'sutli' bomb cracker in his mouth when he was in the toilet at around 9 am. After hearing the sound, his family members rushed in. They shifted him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead," the police official added.</p>

<p>The police registered a case of suicide and further investigation into the incident is being carried out. The student's elder brother Hridyesh said that his brother scored good marks in exams and was completing a B.SC course from a local college.</p>

<p>The police officials said that due to the bursting of a sutli bomb or hydro-bomb inside his mouth, his face was extensively damaged which lead to his death.</p>

<p>Recounting the horrific incident, the family members stated that they suddenly heard the sound of firecrackers bursting inside the household and hence, they rushed to the toilet.</p>

<p>When the door was broken with the help of neighbours, they discovered the lifeless body of the boy lying on the floor in a pool of blood and his face badly torn.</p>

<p>A matchbox and the remnants of the twine bomb were also found at the site of the incident. The gruesome sight left the family shocked and in disbelief.</p>

<p>The district hospital's civil surgeon Dr Dilip Singh Sikarwar, who performed the postmortem, stated that due to the twine bomb's explosion in the boy's mouth, there was significant damage caused to his nose, jaw and surrounding bones, which led to his death.</p>

<p>When it was found out that 61 girls out of the 222 were malnourished in the school, AI-based equipment was installed to improve the nutrition level of tribal children at Todsa Ashram School of Etapalli village in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli city.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The initiative was taken by the administration under project Bhamragad and there are eight government schools part of it. So, the AI machine works on the basis of Image recognition. AI algorithms trained to recognize visual characteristics of food products, such as colour, texture, and shape, can detect the quality of the food.&nbsp;</p>

Just seconds after the machine captures a picture of the food plate, it makes an assessment whether the food quality is at par or not.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The machine does not require any human intervention and can be easily used by a person of any age without any difficulty.&nbsp;</p>

Meals are provided here thrice a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quantity of the food is up to the mark, and we also follow the menu. So, we wanted to ascertain the cause,'' Shubham Gupta, Assistant Collector of Etapalli and Project Director of Integrated Tribal Development Project told ANI.</p>

<p>He said that he got connected with a startup through an NGO that created a device that could evaluate the quality of food being served to the students.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I came in touch with an NGO that further connected me to a startup. We deployed here this machine designed by them… Through this machine, we have tried to implement improvement in not only the quantity but also the quality of food. Data collected here can be accessed by Headmaster and me. We have installed it in one of the 8 Ashram Schools so far," he said.</p>
