Indian Army said that Hussain had gone to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the 1990s and had masterminded a number of attacks on security forces. Authorities said that the inputs suggested that he was given the task of re-vitalising the terrorist activities in the South of Pir Panjal Ranges.&nbsp;

"The search operations led to the recovery of one AK 56, one 9 mm Pistol with Silencer, one mag of AK 56, 10 rounds of 7.62 mm, Nine rds of 9 mm, two hand grenades, eatables and medicines. Recovery of pistol with silencer indicates the model was likely to be quite high in the Tanzeem Hierarchy," said Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, PRO (Defence) Jammu.&nbsp;

The J&amp;K police said that forces prevented a major infiltration bid and neutralised the top Divisional Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen. Indian army says that the same incident also highlights the adversary's attempts of reviving terrorism in the South of Pir Panjal Ranges by exploiting the terror veterans.&nbsp;

The entire area has been cordoned off and combing operating are underway. Mobile and internet services reportedly have been suspended in the area. 
 
With this, the security forces also avenged the martyrdom of five soldiers&nbsp;in Kupwara district on May 3.

Naikoo, Kashmir's most wanted terrorist and top Hizbul commander was trapped late on Tuesday in his native Beighpora village in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Hizb-ul-Mujahideen is a terrorist group who is often linked to the Pakistani intelligence services, and whose stated intention is "merging Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan".&nbsp;

The mobile internet has been suspended as a precautionary measure, they said. The gunfight started between militants and security forces in the Beighpora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir, a police spokesman said.&nbsp;

"Police last night launched an operation on a specific input at Beighpora. Senior officers are monitoring it since last night," he said.

Following a tip-off, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by police and security forces in Gujar Basti Gulshanpora area of Tral Awantipora. During the search operation, the hiding terrorists fired on the search party. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter. In the ensuing encounter, three terrorists were killed and the bodies were retrieved from the site of encounter. The killed terrorists have been identified as Umer Fayaz Lone alias Hamad Khan resident of Seer Tral, Faizan Hamid resident of Mandoora Tral and Adil Bashir Mir alias Abu Dujana resident of Monghama Tral. The killed terrorists as per police records were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and were wanted for their complicity in terror crimes including attack on security establishments and civilian atrocities. According to the Police records, Umer Fayaz Lone had a long history of terror crime records since 2016 and was involved in planning and executing several terror attacks in the area. He was part of groups responsible for carrying out a series of terror attacks and many other civilian atrocities besides the killing of policeman Haleem Kohli of Gutroo Bangdar Tral. Incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. All these materials have been taken into case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror crimes.

Claiming that the Pakistan civil and political organisation have no control over the Pakistan army he said that the army was using them as its proxies against India.

He said that a deliberate attempt was made by Pakistan to use PoK for 'jihadi' activities and that the army is promoting a philosophy that the world is not permanent and one has to die.&nbsp;

He also said that the majority of these terror outfits were based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The exiled leader highlighted the growing instability and lack of development in Pakistan occupied Kashmir which has forced many people to vacate the region.

He also hit out at the multi-billion&nbsp;CPEC project saying that Pakistan and China's were exploiting the resources from PoK and Gilgit baltistan. He added the funds that were meant for the welfare and development of PoK was diverted for other purposes.

"In the past 70 years, our sources of income, including foreign remittances, were not spent for the welfare and empowerment of the people of PoK. They have established a camp to promote 'jihadi' culture. They have endorsed a philosophy that the world is not permanent and one has to die. They want to exploit the resources and occupy territory but tell Kashmiri that this world is temporary. Here, you don't need a good hospital and education and you don't need to live here but to migrate to Saudi Arabia, Britain and the US to earn money. They have promoted a forced migration, which people are not able to understand," he added.

The NIA has so far filed two charge sheets against six people which included G M Bhat, a close aide of pro-Pakistan separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mohammed Siddiq Ganai, Ghulam Jeelani Liloo and Farooq Ahmed Dagga. All the four were in judicial custody.

Besides them, two others - Mohammed Maqbool Pandit and Aijaz Ahmed Bhat - have also been chargesheeted by the NIA but both of them were absconding. An Interpol Red Corner notice has been issued against both.

The official statement also criticised Pakistan&#39;s reactions over the recent spike in violence in Kashmir after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani&#39;s death:&nbsp; 
 
&quot;In the last few days, leadership of Pakistan, including its Prime Minister has praised as martyr, a wanted terrorist Commander of the banned terrorist organisation Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Burhan Wani. He was carrying an award of Rs 10 Lakh on his head because he had perpetrated heinous crimes, including murder of elected representatives of local bodies and security forces.&quot;&nbsp; 
 
The statement further added, &quot;Even more condemnable than these deplorable attempts from across our border to incite violence and glorify terrorists is the fact that these attempts have been undertaken by Pakistan&rsquo;s state machinery in active partnership with UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Saeed and other leading terrorists belonging to internationally proscribed organisations.&quot;&nbsp;

Hafiz Saeed had expressed solidarity with a key separtist leader of Kashmir, Asiya Andrabi, on Friday.&nbsp;Saeed, a Pakistani Islamist with a $10 million bounty on his head, warned India of war if separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani&#39;s four-point solution to the Kashmir issue is not accepted. 
 
Widespread agitation in Kashmir since then has left over 40 dead and 3,100 injured, most of them by police fire, in the worst outbreak of violence in six years, triggering massive protests in Pakistan.
