“It revolves around safety, security, and, I think, common sense. It protects our children and grandchildren in private spaces where they are most vulnerable,” argued Republican Ohio state Sen. Jerry Cirino, who had sponsored the bill.

Some people have been exempted from the new instructions, which includes people who assist children or someone with disability and school employees.&nbsp;

The bill also included exemptions in case of emergency situations. Schools are free to offer single-use and family bathrooms to pupils.

The law will be brought into effect in the next 90 days, but&nbsp;how the implementation of the law will take place remains unclear because no enforcement mechanism has been mentioned in the bill.

<h2>Supporters of bill call it 'common sense', opposition expresses disappointment</h2>

President of the Center for Christian Virtue Aaron Baer, who was supporting the bill, in a statement said, "Common sense is on a winning streak in America today."

Christian Virtue Aaron Baer is the largest Christian public policy organisation in Ohio.

"No student should be forced to go into the bathroom or locker room with a student of the opposite sex, and Ohio's kids are better protected now because of Governor DeWine's decision to sign this bill," added Baer.

Meanwhile, the state’s LGBTQ+ advocacy and legal aid organisation Equality Ohio said that the law is posing a risk to transgender youth “or anyone perceived as transgender by authorities.”

In a chilling discovery, archaeologists have found grisly details of how people buried an elite female “vampire”&nbsp;some 350 years ago.

The grave of the “real-life vampire” was unearthed two years ago at a medieval graveyard in Pień, Poland.&nbsp;

The researchers have dubbed the "vampire" Zosia and in the new illustrations, the 18-year-old vampiress has been depicted as having fair skin, short hair, blue eyes and a single protruding incisor tooth.&nbsp;

Zosia had a silk cap on her head when she was laid to rest which showed that she was from a family of high social status.

However, she was accused of evil and hence her skeleton was only found with a sickle across her neck and a giant padlock on her toe amongst others in the grave site.&nbsp;

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Professor Dariusz Polinski,&nbsp;who had carried out the&nbsp;recent research on Zosia with study partner Magda Zagrodzka, said, “It can be assumed that for some reason those burying the woman were afraid that she would rise from the grave. Perhaps they feared she was a vampire.”

According to the experts, people used to fit the sickle and padlock to the corpse as a form of &nbsp;“double protection” because they feared that the “vampire” would rise from the grave. It was believed that the sickle would ensure the vampire got decapitated if she tried to rise from her grave.&nbsp;

“The sickle was not laid flat, but placed on the neck in such a way that if the deceased had tried to get up most likely the head would have been cut off or injured,” Polinski said.

The digital scan of Zosia’s skull was taken by a facial recognition expert and a copy was made using a 3D printer.

Medical investigator Dr. Heather Edgar examined the bone scans at the University of New Mexico and discovered an abnormality in the breast bone of Zosia, which suggested that she had a physical deformity which may have given her great pain.&nbsp;

<h2>'Field of Vampires'</h2>

The signs of restraint were found in 30 out of the 100 graves because of which the site was nicknamed as the “Field of Vampires.”

Polinski said that people had built the cemetery specifically for those who had been “excluded from the community;” however, they had left all the graves unmarked and no written records were available about the bodies.&nbsp;

The faces of some of these bodies were turned down and a few were weighed down with stones. In some bodies, coins were placed in their mouths.

“Ways to protect against the return of the dead include cutting off the head or legs, placing the deceased face down to bite into the ground, burning them, and smashing them with a stone,” said Polinski, speaking to the Daily Mail.

Since the sickle was placed over the neck of Zosia, she was said to be most feared by those who killed her.&nbsp;

According to a report published in Science Alert, by the 17th century “unusual burial practices became common across Poland in response to a reported outbreak of vampires".&nbsp;

Gen Ahmed was born in 1965 and went to Aga Khan High School in Nairobi. She finished her studies at the National Defence College and Defence Staff College in July 2000. She also got a Diploma in Management from Strathmore University College.

The staff members working at an Ohio zoo were left surprised after a gorilla, which they believed to be a male for four years, gave birth on Thursday (July 20). 
 
Columbus Zoo stated that gorilla Sully, who has been staying with them since 2019, was found with her baby on Thursday. In the blog post, the zookeepers said that the infant "appears to be healthy" and that Sully was appearing to be an excellent mother. 
 
They further said that Sully was always in good health because of which the officials never needed to examine her which led to the confusion.

The birth "was unexpected, yet exciting for the care team and important for the conservation of a critically endangered species", said the zookeepers in a blog post. 
 
Nothing was suspected by the zookeepers till they saw the "believed to be male" gorilla nursing her child. "It's hard to tell the sex of younger gorillas," they stated.

<h2>Gorilla not old enough to show gender</h2>

The zoo authorities said that Sully was old enough to reproduce at eight years of age, however, she was still too young to show any obvious signs of her gender. 
 
"Until about eight, males and females are about the same size, and they don't have prominent sex organs. Males don't develop... their silver backs until 12 or later,” the authorities said. 
 
Generally, gorillas fail to show any signs of pregnancy because of their large abdomens and infant gorillas appear significantly smaller compared to human babies.

"Until about eight, males and females are about the same size, and they don't have prominent sex organs. Males don't develop... their silver backs until 12 or later,” the authorities said. Generally, gorillas fail to show any signs of pregnancy because of their large abdomens and infant gorillas appear significantly smaller compared to human babies. The study further highlighted that women-led SMEs contribute about £85bn to economic output. However, Beis research shows that just 16 per cent of small business employers and one in three of entrepreneurs are women.&nbsp;

There is also evidence stating that fewer women get access to financing and business loans. Only 15 per cent of bank financing applications and 22 per cent of new primary business bank account openings are coming from women.
