“President Trump hereby notifies the Court that he may seek removal of his prosecution to federal court,” said his lawyer Steven Sadow, in a brief court filing. “To be timely, his notice of removal must be filed within 30 days of his arraignment,” he added. 
 
Many of the 18 co-defendants of Trump, which include his former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, have submitted petitions for moving their cases to federal court since they were charged last month after an investigation, headed by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Federal court is likely to turn out more favourable for Trump because he might get a diverse jury pool than in Fulton County, which is a Democratic stronghold. A federal trial will also allow Trump to argue about his immunity from prosecution for actions committed by him as part of his official duties as the then-president. 
 
However, such a move will still include a trial by Willis as per Georgia state law. It is likely that US District Judge Steve Jones will rule on the petitions for moving the case to the federal court in the weeks ahead.

Schwartz said he was "humiliated" and that his actions had brought personal and professional shame. “I would like to sincerely apologise to your honour, to this court, to the defendants, to my firm," said Schwartz during the hearing. “I deeply regret my actions in this manner that led to this hearing today. I suffered both professionally and personally [because of] the widespread publicity this issue has generated. I am both embarrassed, humiliated and extremely remorseful," he added. Schwartz said he did not know the AI chatbot was capable of furnishing bogus citations. "I simply had no idea that ChatGPT was capable of fabricating entire case citations or judicial opinions, especially in a manner that appeared authentic. At the time that I performed the legal research in this case, I believed that ChatGPT was a reliable search engine. I now know that was incorrect," he wrote. A man named Roberto Mata sued the airline Avianca, saying he was injured when a serving cart struck his knee on a flight to the Kennedy International Airport in New York. As per the lawsuit, Mata was a passenger on Aviance Flight 670 from El Salvador to New York on August 27, 2019, when an airline employee bonked him with the metal serving cart. When Avianca asked a Manhattan federal judge to toss out the case, Mata's lawyers, which included Schwartz objected and submitted a 10-page brief in March that cited over half a dozen relevant court decisions. The lawsuit was filed&nbsp;by a company named Wilson Aerospace&nbsp;in a federal court in the United States city of Seattle. According to the complaint, Wilson Aerospace was working with Boeing for two years between 2014 and 2016 after the latter sought the former’s help for safely attaching engines to the SLS rocket.&nbsp;

This comes as Boeing has reportedly feared the loss of billions of dollars of NASA revenue. Wilson claims that after the company provided Boeing with the designs for a unique torque wrench,&nbsp;the latter cancelled the former’s contract. However, according to Wilson, Boeing continued to use its intellectual property without “full instructions” on how to build or install it.&nbsp;

Wilson has accused Boeing of creating “critically deficient in quality and performance,” versions of their design, adding that these “mismatched” tools may have caused or contributed to dangerous leaks which had delayed the launch of the SLS rocket, reported Sky News.&nbsp;

The lawsuit also said that Boeing was able to earn billions of dollars in revenue because of the “infringement of Wilson’s trade secrets.” It added that Boeing must turn over “all revenues and profits Boeing has obtained as a result.”&nbsp;

The lawsuit then claims that &nbsp;Boeing went on to blame the leaks which could endanger astronauts on Wilson’s design. “Boeing has not only stolen our intellectual property and damaged our company's reputation but has used the technology incorrectly and at the expense of astronauts' safety, which is beyond despicable,” said founder and president, David Wilson, as quoted by Sky News.&nbsp;

However, this is not the only project that two aerospace companies had collaborated on and in relation to a somewhat similar allegation Wilson said Boeing stole trade secrets related to bolt installation tools for its 787 Dreamliner aircraft which the Colorado-based company was asked to design in 2012.

In a statement after the lawsuit was filed, the aerospace giant based in Arlington, Virginia, said, “This lawsuit is rife with inaccuracies and omissions.” It added, “We will vigorously defend against this in court.”&nbsp;

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) SLS rocket was first launched last year and was a part of the agency’s Artemis program which aims to put astronauts back on the Moon for the first time since the Apollo 17 mission in over 50 years.&nbsp;

A settlement was reached in July and endorsed by the vast majority of some 700 victims. The settlement was formally confirmed on Monday.

Each victim will receive between Can$5,000 ($3,760) and Can$50,000 depending on the gravity of the case.&nbsp;

Some plaintiffs "who experienced exceptional harm such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) may be eligible for up to an additional $100,000," the court ruled.

The settlement "contemplates numerous systemic changes and programs," including "a restorative engagement program and other measures to rebuild the relationship between class members and the military, and promote culture change."

The armed forces must also undergo an external five-year review that will measure the institution's progress in addressing sexual misconduct in order to make recommendations to senior military officials.
