<p>Country music singer Morgan Wallen has been arrested after police say he threw a chair off the rooftop of a newly opened six-story bar in downtown Nashville. Wallen, 30, was booked into jail early Monday on three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanour count of disorderly conduct, Metro Nashville Police tweeted.</p>

<p>The charges stem from a chair being thrown from the rooftop of Chief’s bar and landing on Broadway near two police officers. An arrest affidavit says the chair landed about 3 feet (1 meter) from officers, who talked to witnesses and reviewed security footage. Witnesses told officers that they watched Wallen pick up a chair, throw it over the roof and laugh about it.</p>

<p>Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed the arrest late Sunday and said the singer was cooperating fully with authorities. He was released from custody and has a court date scheduled for May 3.</p>

<p>Wallen is one of the biggest names in contemporary country. His third studio album, 2023’s “One Thing at a Time,” was the most-consumed album in the U.S. last year. It spent 16 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 in 2023 — which meant he held the top spot for 30% of the year, more time at No. 1 than any other album since Adele’s “21” dominated over a decade ago. As a result, he was disqualified or limited from several award shows and received no Grammy nominations for his bestselling “Dangerous: The Double Album.”</p>

<p>In 2020, he was arrested on public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges after being kicked out of Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville. At the time, Wallen posted on social media that he and some friends were “horse-playing” after a few bar stops.</p>

<p>“We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected,” Wallen posted on X. “Thank you to the local authorities for being so professional and doing their job with class. Love y’all.”</p>

<p>On Tuesday, Netflix unveiled the much-awaited trailer of <em>Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar</em>, directed by ace Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The three-minute-long clip takes the audience into the world of courtesans of Heeramandi, an area located in Pakistan's Lahore. The web series is set in pre-independence India and revolves around a beautiful, royal world where love, loss and liberation intertwine.</p>

<p>Bhansali got the idea for the project from Moin Baig more than 14 years ago. However, he couldn't begin working on it due to his past work commitments. Finally, Bhansali is bringing the idea to life with this web series, scheduled to premiere on May 1 on Netflix.</p>

<p>The series' cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, and Taha Shah Badussha.&nbsp;</p>

<p>By the looks of the trailer, it seems that Bhansali has once again succeded in bringing his majestic signature flair to the project. Every scene and frame screams opulence and grandeur with actors giving out some of their best performances to turn SLB's vision into reality.</p>

He directed his first film, <em>Khamoshi: The Musical</em>, in 1996. The film starred Nana Patekar, Salman Khan, Manisha Koirala and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles.</p>

To channel the essence of the revered Hindu deity, the actor is taking swimming and hiking lessons along with weight training.</p>

<p>Ranbir's personal trainer Nam recently took to social media to share give glimpses of Kapoor's intense workout session. In the video, the actor is seen lifting weights, trekking, biking, swimming, and jogging. Ranbir is leaving no stone unturned to get in the best shape for the role and the now-viral clip is a testament to his commitment to his craft.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While sharing the video on Instagram, Ranbir's personal trainer Nam wrote, "Went to the countryside for a decompression week. WIP with Ranbir."</p>

<p>Billie Eilish took the music world by storm with her first two albums: <em>When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? </em>(2019) and<em> Happier Than Ever</em> (2021). Now, the American singer-songwriter is all set to take things up a notch with her third studio album, <em>Hit Me Hard and Soft</em>, scheduled to release on May 17. The album will feature 10 tracks, written and sung by Eilish and her brother&nbsp;Finneas O'Connell.</p>

<p>This isn’t the first time Kiss has partnered with Pophouse, which was co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus. When the band’s current lineup — founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons as well as guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer — took the stage on the final night of their farewell tour in December at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden, they ended by revealing digitized avatars of themselves.</p>

<p>The cutting-edge technology was created by George Lucas’ special-effects company, Industrial Light &amp; Magic, in partnership with Pophouse. The two companies recently teamed up for the <em>ABBA Voyage</em>&nbsp;show in London, in which fans could attend a full concert by the Swedish band in their heyday, as performed by their own digital avatars.</p>

<p>The ways in which Kiss’ avatars will be utilised have yet to be announced, but Pophouse CEO Per Sundin says fans can expect a biopic, a documentary and a Kiss experience on the horizon.</p>

<p>An avatar show is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2027 — but don’t expect it to look anything like <em>ABBA Voyage</em>, Sundin told the AP. And fans can expect it to kick off in North America.</p>

<p>Sundin says the goal of the purchase is to expose Kiss to new generations — which he believes sets Pophouse apart from other acquisitions of music catalogues.</p>

<p>“The record companies, the three big ones that are left, they’re doing a fantastic job, but they have so many catalogues and they can’t focus on everything,” he says. “We work together with Universal (Music Group) and Kiss, even though we will own the artists rights, and we’re doing it in conjunction with Kiss. But yes, we bought all rights, and that’s not something I’ve seen that clearly before.”</p>

<p>“I don’t like the word acquisition,” Gene Simmons tells the AP over Zoom, assuring the band would never sell their catalogue to a company they didn’t appreciate.</p>

<p>“Collaboration is exactly what it’s about. It would be remiss in our inferred fiduciary duty — see what I just did there? — to the thing that we created to abandon it,” he continued. “People might misunderstand and think, ‘OK, now Pophouse is doing that stuff and we’re just in Beverly Hills twiddling our thumbs.’ No, that’s not true. <p>Kiss are Pophouse’s second investment outside of Sweden: In February, Cyndi Lauper entered a partnership with the company which included the sale of the majority share of her music and a new immersive performance project she’s calling an “immersive theatre piece” that transports audiences to the New York she grew up in.</p>

<p>The aim is to develop new ways to bring Lauper’s music to fans and younger audiences through new performances and live experiences.</p>

<p>After more than 15 years of hosting “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on NBC, O’Brien was promoted to lead the network’s flagship late-night show in 2009, after it was announced Leno would be given a new prime-time show, also on NBC.</p>

<p>After seven months of slipping <em>Tonight Show</em>&nbsp;ratings and pressure from affiliates who said <em>The Jay Leno Show</em>&nbsp;wasn’t a strong enough lead-in to their nightly newscasts, NBC made a plan to shorten Leno’s show to a half-hour and give it an 11:35 p.m. timeslot, which would have bumped “The Tonight Show” to 12:05 a.m.</p>

<p>“It was my mistaken belief that, like my predecessor, I would have the benefit of some time and, just as important, some degree of ratings support from the prime-time schedule,” O’Brien said at the time in a statement.</p>

In a statement shared on social media, Underwood revealed the traumatic experience that led him to quit acting.</p>

<p>"When I was 19, I was sexually harassed and then assaulted by my agent at the time, who had spent a decent amount of time building trust with me as a friend and mentor. Again, my trust was betrayed and my self-image was crushed," Underwood wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He reported that&nbsp;the agent has since been fired, though he remains active in the industry. “I reported him to the agency and he has since been fired — although he is still active in the industry. This experience provoked my move away from LA and ending my pursuit of acting,” Underwood added.</p>

<p>Underwood's decision to speak out comes after the airing of Investigation Discovery's documentary, <em>Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV</em>, which included allegations against Dan Schneider, the creator of <em>Zoey 101</em>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In his post, Underwood further clarified that he was not defending Schneider, but rather explaining his silence on the matter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Lately, many people have been blowing up my email telling me they hope me and my mom die and that we burn in hell, I’m being called a paedophile defender and all that jazz," he wrote.</p>

<p>"I imagine many friends in the business are being equally harassed if they aren’t joining the chorus, so I’m sharing this with the hope that some of you can recognise that just because a person doesn’t shout from the rooftops that paedophiles are bad or that people can suck — that does not mean they don’t have their own reasons for staying silent, good reasons, personal reasons," he further said.</p>

<p>Despite his negative experience with his agent, Underwood emphasised that he had positive experiences on the set of <em>Zoey 101</em> and with Schneider. He expressed his belief that people have the capacity to change and that he hopes for the best for everyone.</p>

<p>“I never had a bad experience working on set of a Nickelodeon show and I never had a bad experience with Dan. I have nothing to add to the conversation that anyone would care to hear,” Underwood added.</p>

<p>“I like to believe people have the capacity to be better humans and Dan appears to recognise that he had been an asshole in his past. I like to believe he is fully capable of being a creator and coworker everyone can enjoy working with. I have no expectation to work with him again, this is just me wanting good for anyone who wants to be better.”</p>
