According to the woman's husband, she had various spots on her body and a lot of them were large in size and dark in colour.&nbsp;

The doctors had diagnosed Liu with neurofibromatosis and cafe-au-lait spots which made it important for her to go through multiple freckle removal procedures.&nbsp;

The woman went through nine laser treatments at Jinmen Dermatology Hospital in Tianjin and spent more than 100,000 yuan (US$14,000) for the same.&nbsp;

However, the doctors informed the woman that her symptoms had started worsening after the procedures. &nbsp;

It was revealed by the woman's mother that Liu had stopped the treatment once because of severe pain which was caused by the anaesthetic's uneven application, as per the South China Morning Post.&nbsp;

While going through her 10th procedure on October 21, Liu faced dizziness after doctors applied anaesthetic cream.&nbsp;

Even though the cream was quickly removed by the doctors, the woman went into shock, faced convulsions and experienced cardiac arrest.

The doctors called emergency services and Liu was shifted to another hospital where she succumbed to her medical condition after 10 days.

It was reported by the emergency donors that Liu died after she suffered complications because of excessive intracranial pressure.&nbsp;

However, the husband of Liu suspected that the allergic reaction was triggered by an excessive amount of anaesthetic which led to her death.

The procedures were defended by the staff at Jinmen Dermatology Hospital who stated that the anaesthetic cream was applied following the standard protocols and the allergy tests were made available after request.

Hospital director Zhang expressed regret for the death of Liu and said, “We will take full responsibility if found at fault.”

In a shocking incident, a Chinese woman died after undergoing six cosmetic surgeries in a span of 24 hours after which her family filed a lawsuit against the clinic and sought 1.2 million yuan (US$168,000) as compensation.&nbsp;

The woman, who belonged to a rural area in Guigang, Guangxi province in southern China, had gone to a clinic in Nanning on December 9, 2020.&nbsp;

The woman had taken a loan of more than 40,000 yuan (US$5,600) for financing six cosmetic procedures.

On the afternoon of December 9, the woman spent five hours on double eyelid surgery and a nose job.

After this, she went through a liposuction procedure on her things and got fat injected in her face and breasts which also continued for five hours the next morning.

The woman was taken to The Second Nanning People’s Hospital where doctors failed to save her.

In the autopsy report, it was mentioned that the woman died from “acute respiratory failure due to pulmonary embolism after liposuction”.

<h2>Family sues the clinic over woman's death</h2>

When the woman died, she had an eight-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son. The woman's family members filed a case against the clinic at Jiangnan District People’s Court of Nanning City and sought compensation of 1.18 million yuan (US$251,000).

“The clinic offered me 200,000 yuan as compensation. I said that at least one million yuan should be given for a person’s death. Even if we split the responsibility, it should still be at least 500,000 yuan. I refused their private settlement, and I said we should just go to court," said Liu’s husband.

After the hearings, the court was finally asked to pay 590,000 yuan ($82,181) to the woman's family as compensation.

“The assessment concluded that the clinic failed to assess the risk of venous blood embolism, identifying certain errors in their medical practices that were causally related to the patient’s death,” said Li Shan, who is a judge at Jiangnan District People’s Court of Nanning City.

<h2>Here's why Peanut the squirrel was euthanised&nbsp;</h2>

The squirrel was rescued by its guardian Mark Longo after he saw the mother of Peanut getting hit by a car in Connecticut.

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) seized Peanut and Fred the racoon after receiving multiple complaints regarding wild animals living in the Longo house.

Longo reached out to the fans for financial aid to get through the “legal battle”.

The DEC, however, said that Peanut was docile and had bit the hand of one of the investigators when he was getting confiscated from his Elmira home on Wednesday.

“In addition, a person involved with the investigation was bitten by the squirrel. To test for rabies, both animals were euthanised. The animals are being tested for rabies and anyone who has been in contact with these animals is strongly encouraged to consult their physician,” read the DEC statement, as reported by the WETM.

Taking to Instagram, Peanut's guardian Mark Longo announced his death. “P’nut was the best thing that ever happened to us. RIP MY BEST FRIEND. Thank you for the best 7 years of my life. The fattest cat in the world, Crumbs, lost his life weeks after joining a feline fat camp as vets said that his cancerous tumours got hidden in his extensive layers of flab.&nbsp;

The diet of scraps, biscuits and soup in the basement had caused the cat to gain an enormous weight of 38 pounds.

However, after joining a special veterinary weight loss centre in Perm, Russia, Crumbs was able to lose seven pounds before he suddenly started to develop breathing problems and died on Saturday (Oct 26).

The vets working at the diet centre said that layers of flab on the cat were so deep that the scans were not able to show the cancerous tumours which had grown on his spleen and internal organs.

<h2>What caused Crumbs’ death?</h2>

Galiana More, who is the owner of Matroskin cat shelter where Crumbs was treated, said that most probably the tumours caused the collapse of multiple organs.

The official cause of death of Crumbs is still not known as his full post-mortem exam is pending.&nbsp;

More said even after the post-mortem exam, it will be “very difficult” to understand what caused the demise of the fat cat's death – tumours or excess weight.&nbsp;

“When this is a large set of such multi-organ failure, the body simply can not cope, despite the fact that Kroshik was really a fighter,” More said.

“We are looking ahead to starting an examination, to understand why the Crumbs died but we will have to wait for five days for that conclusion," she added.

Neuroticism&nbsp;is related to negative emotions like sadness, fear and irritability but also has other components like anxiety and loneliness which impact a person's mind and body.

Loneliness was identified as the strongest predictor of premature death by scientists because this increases the chances of respiratory and digestive system diseases and intentional self-harm, the researchers suggested.&nbsp;

Mood swings and feeling fed up are other aspects of neuroticism which are related to higher mortality risk.&nbsp;

A team of researchers from Florida State University looked into data from the United Kingdom Biobank. The Biobank has a massive database of biological samples, genetics, health information and lifestyles from half a million people.&nbsp;

The Biobank had information on around 500,000 individuals whose neuroticism evaluation was completed between&nbsp;2006 and 2010.

Scientists tracked the life of these individuals for 17 years. The 'vital status' data and neuroticism scores of the participants were used by the research team to investigate whether the personality trait and certain components had a strong relation to premature death.

In the 17 years, out of around 500,000 participants, 43,400 had died which is about 8.8 per cent of the total sample size.&nbsp;

As per the data, the average age at death was 70 years and the primary cause of death was cancer, which was followed by&nbsp;nervous system,&nbsp;respiratory system and digestive system diseases.

CheekAge has been created by scientists in a way that it uses cheek swabs from people ages 18 to 93. &nbsp;

The tool pairs patterns of DNA methylation present in the cheek cells and gives an overall score for health after considering factors like educational and body mass index (BMI) and a person's&nbsp;stress levels.&nbsp;

Hence, the "CheekAge score" of a person is thus dependent on their health status and degree of biological ageing.

In the recently released book, Waite said that she failed to come to terms with the secret double life of her husband and slowly started losing it.

“I’ve desecrated the remains of my partner in life. But then, in despair and guilt, took more of his ashes — and actually ate them. The remains feel dry against my fingertips, coarser than baking powder, grainier than salt. They mix with the teary water, a mineral mud on the back of my tongue. I swallow," wrote Waite.

Waite said that she was “detached from reality in the wake of Sean’s death” in that moment.

In the recently released book, Waite said that she failed to come to terms with the secret double life of her husband and slowly started losing it. She said that she opened the bag of her husband's ashes and brought it to her garden where she mixed it with her dog’s faeces. “I’ve desecrated the remains of my partner in life. But then, in despair and guilt, took more of his ashes — and actually ate them. The remains feel dry against my fingertips, coarser than baking powder, grainier than salt. They mix with the teary water, a mineral mud on the back of my tongue. I swallow," wrote Waite. Waite said that she was “detached from reality in the wake of Sean’s death” in that moment. “I feel better and stronger than before, but I still cry almost every day, and I still feel like a part of me has died. Egyptian rousette fruit bat is the primary carrier of the Marburg virus, from which it is transmitted to humans. The virus is also carried by African green monkeys and pigs.

Among humans, the virus spreads through contact with contaminated bedding or surfaces, infected semen and bodily fluids (blood, saliva, vomit, etc.).

In the patients infected with the Marburg virus, symptoms like high fever, severe headaches, and muscle pains are seen in the initial days.

After three days, patients have reported suffering severe symptoms like watery diarrhoea, stomach pain, vomiting, and bleeding from various parts of the body.

"The appearance of patients at this phase has been described as showing 'ghost-like' drawn features, deep-set eyes, expressionless faces, and extreme lethargy," stated the WHO.

In some patients, a non-itchy rash has also been seen between two and seven days. Some people also develop severe haemorrhagic manifestations in a week.&nbsp;

The prime suspect in the murder case of a 29-year-old woman from the Indian city of Bengaluru - whose body was found chopped into pieces and kept inside a fridge&nbsp;on September 21 - was found dead in Bhadrak&nbsp;town of the Indian state of Odisha on Wednesday (Sep 26), said police.

Karnataka police had launched a manhunt in Odisha to find 30-year-old Mukti Ranjan Ray, who was named the prime suspect in the case after an investigation.

However, he was found to have hanged himself from a tree and died by suicide, according to&nbsp;the police.

Speaking to The Indian Express, the officer-in-charge of the police station Shantunu Kumar Jena said that they got a report of suicide and the victim was identified as Ray.

“We received the report around 8:15 am. His body was hanging from a roadside tree near Bhuinpur (where he lived). We sent it for postmortem around 9 am and then handed it over to the family,” said Jena.

Odisha’s Additional Director General, Law and Order, Sanjay Kumar, while speaking to The Indian Express, confirmed that they had found a suicide note in which the suspect had purportedly admitted to the crime. 
 
“The Odisha Police have already registered an unnatural death case. Based on the suicide note, the Bengaluru police have confirmed he is the accused in the gruesome murder case,” Kumar told The Indian Express.

The police said that they suspect he allegedly hanged himself "fearing arrest" and his body was given to Bengaluru police after conducting its post-mortem examination.

We extended all necessary assistance to them,” Bhadrak SP Varun Guntupalli said while speaking to The Times Of India.

The family members of Ray reached Bhadrak on September 24 and identified the body.

In the tragic case, the 29-year-old woman was brutally killed and her body was found chopped into more than 50 pieces inside a fridge in an apartment in the Vyalikaval locality&nbsp;of Bengaluru on September 21, in a case which had stark similarity to Shraddha Walker's killing.
