After making her own observations, she went to the police and explained the matter. They checked her husband's phone records and found that he was indeed the one making the nuisance calls. He used to make the calls in private mode in a bid to harass his wife.&nbsp;

Previous researchers have established that humour is recognised as a significant and desirable factor in any romantic relationship but the new study has specifically focused on how it affects relationships over time.

“My co-authors and I have been investigating humour in relationships, but from a relationship initiation perspective.&nbsp;Typically, humour is seen to precede attraction, where humorous individuals are seen to be more attractive,” said study author Kenneth Tan, an assistant professor of psychology at Singapore Management University.

“However, it could also be the case that when you are attracted to someone, you start finding them humorous (Li et al., 2009). We also heard anecdotally that when you are happy in the relationship, you find your partner funny, even if they are objectively not that funny in the first place. Hence, we wanted to examine the association between humour and relationship quality in the case of established relationships,” he added.

The researchers roped in 108 couples, with an average relationship duration of 18.27 months. They were assessed on a daily basis for seven consecutive evenings.&nbsp;

On days where you perceived and initiated more humour, it was not associated with greater commitment the next day, only satisfaction,” said Tan.

The device has reportedly been patented by the Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology after Jiang applied for it in 2019.

The app-driven device is selling like hotcakes on Taobao e-commerce site for 260 yuan (approximately $37), according to the&nbsp;South China Morning Post.

A male buyer in his review said that it was the biggest surprise he and his long-distance girlfriend have had in years, adding: “Thank you technology.”

In order for the device to work, users need to download a mobile phone app and plug the device into their phone’s charging port. After pairing with their partners in the app, couples can start a video call and transmit replicas of their kisses to each other.

The study said non-drinkers were the most affected due to pandemic related stress. It however said found that the effect of the crisis was not just among high-risk groups but among a large section of the population with policies needed to target those groups who have been affected.

The researchers called for text message-based interventions since social distancing measures are necessary during the pandemic allowing individuals to deal with issues without spending vast resources.

India is committed to promoting population stabilisation as part of sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

To this end, the Aakar project, established by Mobius Foundation, runs several outreach programmes to counsel women and couples planning to start families. &nbsp;The foundation also organises a monthly Happy Family Day, or Khushal Pariwar Divas, to create awareness about sustainable population.

Aakar is being implemented in two districts of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. More than 200 villages across 27 blocks are being covered in coordination with the district family welfare department for carrying outreach exercises at the village level.&nbsp;

The focus is on targeted counselling and reaching out more to eligible couples in order to expand the services and reach of the project.

Aakar's awareness programme is now tailored towards targeting individual couples than mass counselling, for better impact and results.

Family planning counselling is being done with the help of Asha Aanganwadi and other female volunteers at the village level.

Male volunteers associated with the project have established relationship with males within village communities.

In an innovative intervention method to expand the reach of project Aakar, counselling is done to lactating mothers seeking health services at government hospitals, community health centres and primary health care providers.

Data of people who counsel for vasectomy is also collected by volunteers and counsellors.

NHM and health ministry marks 21st of every month as Khushal Parivar Diwas, or happy family day, to create an informal ecosystem around family planning to reach out to young men and women. Mobius Foundation is collaborating with the state government as a partner for organising these monthly events.

The focus is to inform and empower future parents. On this day, various activities are organised to promote family planning at health units from the state to the village level. 
Based on the guidelines of NHM, Mobius Foundation organised Khushaal Parivar diwas, and family planning camp was set up in community health centres.

More than 100 people visited the camp and 50 couples were counselled on family planning. Pahal kits were given to newly married couples by CHC’s counsellor. The kits consist of contraceptive pills, condoms, a mirror, two towels, handkerchiefs, bindi, comb, nail cutter and a dossier educating the newlyweds about family planning.

In fact, the idea here is to remind couples of tech etiquette, which is usually found missing in modern-day relationships. And what other day could be better than Valentine&rsquo;s Day to put together such dos and don&rsquo;ts?

1. We understand that you want to be up to date with what&rsquo;s happening in your partner&rsquo;s life, but it&rsquo;s not a good idea to snoop on his online activities.&nbsp; Because you have passwords to all his accounts, doesn&rsquo;t mean you should log in to them every now and then. Believe it or not, it could prove to be unhealthy for relationships in a long run.

2. No one is going to come and tell you that you need to cut down on your lovey-dovey posts and mushy pictures on social networks. It&rsquo;s you who need to understand that everything between a couple doesn&rsquo;t need to go out. Of course, it&rsquo;s your account and you are free to use it the way you want, but don&rsquo;t forget, it&rsquo;s a public platform too. Do you really want to take people to your bedroom?

So, it&rsquo;s better that you keep an eye on when you go overboard with things on public platforms. In fact, it makes more sense to have personal conversations in a private space. And for that matter, you can keep them limited to instant messengers. After all, that is what messengers are for. 
 
5. No matter how vindictive you feel, we suggest that you don&rsquo;t send messages to your ex or your partner&rsquo;s ex. You have no idea what all it could snowball into and how badly it could backfire you. &nbsp; 
 
6. We don&rsquo;t encourage your habit of peeping into your partner&rsquo;s screen. You are a companion and not an FBI agent assigned with a task to keep a track of someone&rsquo;s movements. Your partner might not object to it explicitly, but it could be uncomfortable for the other person to be monitored all the time. Or what if she is planning a surprise for you? We are sure you wouldn&rsquo;t want it to be ruined.
