The bodies of Bhanu and Neelam were found approximately 100 meters from the location, but Vipin is still unaccounted for.

As a precautionary measure, authorities evacuated markets and hotels in the impacted districts.

In another incident in Chamoli, a house collapsed at Belchori and a woman and a child were missing. An SDRF team has left for the spot.

“Due to heavy rains in Kedarnath, around 20 to 25 meters of footpath near Bhimbali have been washed out, and large boulders have fallen onto the path. Rescue teams have been deployed to the site,” Banshidhar Tiwari, Director General (Information), said in a statement.

"The collapse is complete. These superstitious fools will destroy whatever little was built in 70 years," Sandeep Manudhane, an entrepreneur and IIT Delhi alumni, said on X.

Gautam Menon, a professor of biophysics, said, "In the current dispensation, having views like those of the director of IIT Mandi featured here is a feature, not a bug. It's simply sad." This is not the first time Behera has stir a row with his controversial comments. Last year, he hit the headlines for claiming that he was involved in an act of exorcism to rid his friend's apartment and family of "evil spirits" by chanting "holy mantras".

"Cloud burst at Holy Cave Update: Six more deaths reported (Total of eight deaths so far). Injured people are airlifted for treatment. "The rescue operation is still going on," said Jammu and Kashmir Police.&nbsp;

The LG of Jammu and Kashmir has expressed anguish over the incident and sent condolences to the families.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur of the northern Indian state&nbsp;has asked people not to go to river banks with several districts hit by floods. People have been shifted to safe areas due to flood conditions.

Locals have also been asked not to go to sensitive places prone to landslides. Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal said he had ordered tourists visiting Dharamshala&nbsp;to postpone their tour in view of the situation with several roads damaged due to heavy rains.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur assuring him of help from the central government.&nbsp;

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is forecast on July 13 and from July 14 to 16.

Meanwhile, authorities said 50 people were killed in <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/lightning-kills-68-across-rajasthan-uttar-pradesh-and-madhya-pradesh-397629">lightning</a> strikes across the country with 42 killed in various districts in Uttar Pradesh.

Amer Fort in Rajasthan was hit with lighting with at least eleven people killed and several injured, according to police.

Flash floods in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala; cars, buildings swept away

A cloudburst in Dharamshala has triggered a flash flood, washing away vehicles and causing damage to properties in Himachal Pradesh. Some of the hotels in the area have also reported heavy damage.

Makuri, Tikochi, Arakot are the most affected villages in the Mori area.

Relief teams were facing problems to reach the area due to damaged roads, an official said.

Three medical teams have also reached Arokot from Naugaon and Purola areas to deal with medical emergencies.

The SDRF has rescued an injured from Sanel and admitted him to a hospital in Arakot.

&nbsp;As many as 170 people have been shifted to the forest rest house.

The administration is also distributing relief material in the area and has started working to restore a bridge and wireless tower to resume communication in the region, an official said.

One team of SDRF personnel has been kept ready at Sahastradhara on standby mode.

On Sunday, police had recovered bodies of six people including a Nepali national in the border area of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarkashi.

Bad weather conditions on Sunday hampered the rescue operation in the region.

According to reports, Pithoragarh and Chamoli districts were inundated after the cloudburst, causing severe problems to the people.

Large tracts of agriculture fields have been destroyed in Suva village of the Dharchula area and three bridges linking the village have been washed away.

The Chief Minister of&nbsp;Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat, said that official teams had been dispatched to carry out search and rescue operations to find those missing.

Rawat also told reporters there were reports of further bad weather from other regions in India.

&quot;We have reports of disaster from Chamoli district too. There is heavy rainfall in Bageshwar, Uttarkashi and some other areas as well,&quot; said Rawat.

Rawat announced a compensation of 200,000 Indian rupees (about $2,968) would be given to the relatives of the deceased.

Over 54 millimetres of rain was recorded here in the last 24-hours. The Thal-Munsyari road has been cut-off and dozens of vehicles remained stranded on both sides.

The Yamunotri highway, near Kharadi, has also been damaged leading to traffic being halted.

Entry of heavy vehicles was halted on the Kedarnath highway after a landslide at Gangolgaon.

All major rivers in the hilly tracts have swollen. 
 
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain at isolated places especially in Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat districts of Uttarakhand.

The weather department has also issued a warning alert of heavy to very heavy rain at few places in Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Almora, Pauri, Haridwar, Dehradun and Tehri districts during the next 72 hours starting from today.

Keeping in view of the alert, all District Administrations have been asked to take precautionary measures.

Director of the state Meteorological&nbsp;Department Vikram Singh has said that a low pressure line between the Bay of Bengal and Punjab is triggering the rains, and the western disturbance is also moving and it will approach Afghanistan and Jammu and Kashmir in the next two to three days.
