A man said to be working for Pakistan’s spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence, was allegedly shot dead in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, according to reports.

The ISI agent—identified as Laal Mohammad (55) alias Mohammad Darji—was the biggest supplier of fake Indian currency notes—a racket run at the behest of ISI.

He used to get counterfeit Indian currency&nbsp;from Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh and then supplied&nbsp;it to India, reports said.

It is being claimed that Mohammad gave logistics support to ISI, and had links with Indian mafia and terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and his crime syndicate D-company. He also provided asylum to other ISI agents.

A CCTV video of the killing has now gown viral on Twitter purportedly showing unidentified assailants pumping bullets into Mohammad. The incident is said to have taken place in the Gothatar area of Kathmandu on the night of September 19.

WION was unable to verify the authenticity of the video.

The clip further shows Mohammad’s daughter jumping from the first floor of the house to save her father. But by the time she reached him, the assailants had already killed Mohammad and escaped.

According to the Nepali newspaper My Republica, Mohammad was running a garment business in Kathmandu.

The newspaper said that police are investigating the incident, though the motive of the murder is yet to be determined.

"Police are investigating the incident and nothing can be said about it yet," SSP Dan Bahadur Karki, Deputy Spokesperson at Nepal Police Headquarters, was quoted as saying.

The police are also investigating to determine whether he was involved in dealing counterfeit notes or suspicious uranium transactions.

According to local media reports, he had been staying in Kathmandu for the past six years and was involved in various business activities, some of which are illegal.

Due to security concerns and evidence of their widespread use in so-called "re-education" camps in Xinjiang, where an estimated 1 million Uyghurs are detained and subjected to abuse, torture, and forced sterilisation, Hikvision and Dahua, which are partially owned by the Chinese government, are now prohibited from doing business in the US. In November of last year, the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee urged the UK to impose similar restrictions on Chinese spy agencies.

New research reveals that UK public organisations are giving sizeable contracts to acquire the contentious Chinese-made equipment, despite the fact that the government has declined to take any action. The MPs' statement comes after a six-month investigation by Big Brother Watch that involved thousands of Freedom of Information requests. Big Brother Watch discovered that the majority of public institutions, including 73 percent of UK councils, 57 percent of secondary schools in England, 6 out of 10 NHS Trusts, UK universities, and police forces, use CCTV cameras made by Hikvision or Dahua.

UK MPs seek ban on Chinese cos making CCTVs used in Xinjiang

After the recent attacks across India's Kashmir Valley, the district administration in Srinagar has issued an order for the business establishments to install CCTV Cameras outside their shops and premises. The step has been taken to keep a check on terror, criminal, anti-social and anti-national activities.&nbsp;

As per the issued order, the prevailing persistent threat, relating to recently increased incidents of selective targeting of the innocent citizens in Jammu and Kashmir by the anti-national and subversive elements, requires several measures including the use of appropriate technologies to safeguard life and property.&nbsp;

"The benefits of advancements in technology are being reaped by every sector be it education, investment, management, health, or public service and many states/UTs of the Union of India now employ video surveillance as a tool to monitor public movements and to prevent crime and terrorism," read a part of the order copy.&nbsp;

The administration believes installing CCTV cameras across the city would help keep a check on terror or criminal activity. "The role of CCTV cameras in improving safety and security cannot be undermined because they not only help in deterrence, surveillance and detection of crime but are very important tools for the law enforcement agencies in the prosecution and bringing the culprit/offender to the book," the order further read.&nbsp;

The DC Srinagar in the order has stated that he exercises the powers conferred upon him by virtue of section 144 Cr. P C, 1973. And has asked for strict compliance by the owners of such establishments and market associations of such markets whether registered or not, who shall within a period of two weeks (14 days) from the date of publication of this order shall take the following steps.&nbsp;

"Ensure that the CCTV system installed is in always working condition, 24 x 7 even when the establishment is closed. The CCTV system should be of good quality with minimum resolution of 1920 X 1080, Minimum Illumination of 0.01 Lux, Focal length 3.6 mm, built in IR and retention period of 30 days, with feature to playback as well as download the recording," the order read.&nbsp;

It states that they provide the CCTV footage to the police and other law enforcement agencies whenever demanded.&nbsp;

Simon Cheng, a former British consulate staffer in Hong Kong, who was granted asylum in the UK after allegedly being tortured by&nbsp;Chinese&nbsp;secret police also signed the letter.&nbsp;

Also giving support is Swedish activist and Safeguard Defenders co-founder Peter Dahlin, who spent three weeks in jail in 2016 before being expelled from the country as a national security threat.

"SBS has received a complaint which it is currently reviewing," a spokesperson for the broadcaster said.&nbsp;

"Given the serious concerns it raises, and the complexity of the material involved, we have made the decision to suspend the broadcast of the overseas-sourced CGTN and CCTV news bulletins while we undertake an assessment of these services."

The move is likely to further sour relations between Australia and China, which are already at the lowest point in decades.

Australia has moved to limit the influence of Chinese state-linked individuals, organisations and technology firms in the country.

It has also barred Chinese state-linked firms from buying two local companies and is reviewing a slew of past investments.

China has responded with sanctions against a range of Australian exports, from grain and coal to wine and lobsters.

Media workers from both countries have been caught in the crossfire.

Last year a Chinese-Australian journalist was jailed and two other Australian journalists were forced to leave China.

Australian authorities also raided the homes of four representatives of Chinese state media as part of an investigation into covert influence operations.

SBS said it had carried 15 minutes of CGTN in Mandarin and 30 minutes of CCTV in English as part of its "World Watch" international news programme.

Its withdrawal of the segments comes after British regulator Ofcom slapped a ban on CGTN in February, arguing that the broadcaster's state-backed ownership structure violated British law.

China has long heavily censored foreign news outlets, including Britain's BBC which has been completely banned since earlier this year.

On Monday&nbsp;China unleashed an arsenal of hyperbole, disinformation and propaganda to&nbsp;defend its border incursions in Ladakh.

However, in its attempt&nbsp;to spin the story in its favour China ended up revealing the truth about the standoff in Ladakh on how it tried to cross into Indian territory and swallow Indian land.&nbsp;

The story was beamed on Monday night on Chinese state television. The clip was from CCTV-4. It is one of the six channels owned by China Central Television(CCTV), the state broadcaster of China which is free to air.

The door shut behind her and she was unable to get back into the room, before trying others, which were also locked. Shen then walked down the eleventh floor and made one last attempt to enter a room.

CCTV shows how the youngster then walked towards the balcony and quickly climbed across the rail to try and go down. But her slippery hands could not hold on to the rail.

She plunged more than 100ft to the hard ground below. Hotel staff rushed to the place where they heard the loud noise from the fall and found the unconscious girl. She was immediately taken to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya in an ambulance. The father, a policeman, was woken by porters who told him about the accident.

He said that he was unaware of his daughter’s behaviour and believed that she was just sleepwalking. He said: ''I didn't know when or how long she left the room until the staff told me. I think she didn’t know she left the room until she woke up and tried every way to get back to me.''

The little girl broke leg and arm and is recovering at Chonburi hospital.

The Type 99A tanks are digitalised and interconnected, and capable of striking enemies beyond visual range, the Global Times reported.&nbsp;

"However, the elite brigade was heavily suppressed during the exercise because of obsolete ways of thinking," it added.&nbsp;

"We rushed with the Type 99A too close to the frontline, which did not optimise the use of the tank's combat capability," the CCTV report quoted Xu Chengbiao, a brigade battalion commander, as saying.

"We only studied the capabilities of older tanks, but have not completely understood new ones," Zhao Jianxin, another battalion commander, said.&nbsp;

The Global Times quoted a Beijing-based military expert as saying, on the condition of anonymity, that weapons alone cannot win wars, as integrating the operator and weapon plays a very important role.

The incident, which was caught on CCTV camera, took place on December 4 last year inside the Union Room of the college.

The victim on Wednesday lodged a complaint against the offender, the college students union`s General Secretary Sahid Hasan Khan.

In her complaint, the girl had alleged that she was harassed, heckled and subjected to violence many times by the student&nbsp;leader.

In the video, the offender first slapped the girl and tried hitting her with a glass cover. Later he kicked and thrashed her several times.

There were other students present in the room, but no one came to her rescue.
