The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, surpassed its previous top mark of 82 seats in 2017, with winning or leading on 90 seats, while Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena (Shinde) leading in 28 seats, out of 227 wards of the BMC.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Shiv Sena alliance is headed for a thumping victory in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, facing little resistance from “united” Thackeray brothers, said media reports citing multiple Exit Polls by polling agencies.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections are underway in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Gulzar and Suniel Shetty were some of the early voters on Thursday morning at various polling booths across Mumbai.

Polling is underway for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, India’s richest civic body, after an eight-year gap.
