<p>More than 11 people were injured in Givat Shaul, while two were lightly hurt by shrapnel in the second explosion. All the injured have been admitted to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah Ein Kerem hospitals in the city.</p>

<p>Yosef Haim Gabay, a medic who was at the scene when the blasts occurred, told Army Radio that “there is damage everywhere here” and that some of the wounded were bleeding heavily.</p>

<p>Videos shared on social media purportedly showed&nbsp;police closing&nbsp;off the Route 1 highway following the first blast.</p>

Police spokesman Eli Levi told Israeli Army Radio that the explosive devices were hidden in bags and were packed with nails to maximise the impact. Reports said they appear to have been detonated from afar by mobile phone.</p>

<p>Visiting the scene, Israel Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai said there may have been two attackers.</p>

<p>“This is a framework of attack that we haven’t seen for many years,” Shabtai said.</p>

<p>The security officers are conducting a combing operation in the area in an attempt to find any suspects connected to the explosion.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Hamas terror group hailed the attacks, though did not divulge whether it was responsible for the attacks.</p>

<p>“The action conveyed the message to the occupation by saying that our people will stand firm on their land and cling to the path of resistance,” Mohammad Hamada, a Hamas spokesperson, said in a statement.</p>

<p>“The coming days will be intense and more difficult for the enemy, the time has come for the creation of cells that are spread all over Palestine and are ready for a confrontation,” he added.</p>

<p>"Persons injured in the incident are being given good treatment," he added.</p>

<p>Earlier on Saturday, Commissioner of Police (CP) of Mangaluru City N Shashi Kumar said, "At around 5 pm today, an auto rickshaw caught fire in the Kankanadi Police Station area. The reason behind the fire was a bag being carried by a passenger riding in the auto. The auto driver and passenger sustained burn injuries and have been admitted to the hospital."</p>

<p>CP Kumar further appealed to the local people not to believe any rumours.</p>

<p>"Forensic Science Lab team has been called to probe the reason behind the fire. The public should not pay heed to any rumours," he said.</p>

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his vice president, Fuat Oktay, had earlier said that "a woman" was responsible for the attack, which Soylu did not immediately address on Monday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Tuesday, a blast in an apartment building in Chicago, United States, left at least eight&nbsp;people injured, the city’s fire department told the media. According to media reports, three&nbsp;people are in critical condition. Meanwhile, the authorities are “confident” that they have evacuated the building. The investigation for the cause of the blast is currently underway, indicated the authorities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the Chicago Fire Department, the blast took place at 9:45 am (local time) and also took to Twitter to post pictures and give updates. The images released showed the four-story brick apartment building on the city’s West side that was completely destroyed by the blast. The incident took place near Washington Boulevard and Central Avenue, said the fire department.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Subsequently, at least 10 ambulances and 135 first responders were sent to the area and 8 people, two female and six male victims were taken to the hospital. <p>Taliban authorities who took over after the Western pullout said earlier this week they had eliminated most of Islamic State's presence in Afghanistan. But despite the assertion, attacks against Shi'ites continue in many parts of the country.</p>
