Rest assured I hold the BCCI in highest regard and will exercise complete discretion and prudence to ensure that such incidents are never repeated in future," he said in his statement.&nbsp;

For most of the show, it was Pandya, who issued an apology for the remarks called sexist and misogynistic, who took it upon himself to say the most outrageous things, mostly on women.&nbsp;

Sample this: "Why don't you ask women's names at nightclubs?" asked Johar when Pandya spoke about his struggle in remembering names of the women he interacts with in parties.

"I like to watch and observe how they move. I'm little from the Black side so I need to see how they move," responded Pandya.

From that to talk on his sex life, Pandya's brashness did not taper down.&nbsp;

"When I lost my virginity, I came home and said, "Main karke aaya hai aaj (I did it today)," was his response to a question on how "cool" he is with his family members.

"At a party my parents asked me acha tera wala (women) kaun sa hai (Which are your women)? I said yeh, yeh, yeh (pointing out women) and they were like waah proud of you beta," he went on to add to stress on the "cool quotient" of his family.

The line of questioning to the two cricketers also seemed excessively focussed on women -- the ones they have dated, those they wish to date and which of them was the more attractive one.&nbsp;

"If you all hit on the same women, then how do you decide?" asked the filmmaker.&nbsp;

Rahul's response was, "up to the woman."

Pandya was more outspoken.&nbsp;

"Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai. Jisko mila woh leke jao (Nothing like that, it's about talent, whoever gets them, takes them)," said the all-rounder with a little shrug of the shoulders.&nbsp;

The 25-year-old later said he got carried away by the "nature of the show" and is currently busy drafting a response to the BCCI show cause notice.

Rahul's comments on the show have not drawn any criticism but the fact that the duo appeared together perhaps also had him caught in the social media storm.&nbsp;

Ironically, Rahul was questioned about his thoughts on social media on the show, whether he thought of it is a blessing or a curse.&nbsp;

"It's a bit of both. It's how you see it," he stated.&nbsp;

Gearing up for the New Zealand tour, Indian women's ODI captain <a href="http://www.wionews.com/search?q=Mithali+Raj">Mithali Raj</a> Saturday stressed on the need to bring the focus back on cricket after hogging the limelight for the wrong reasons following a controversial ending to their World T20 campaign.&nbsp;

Mithali was in the news after falling out with Ramesh Powar, who was the coach of the team at the recently held women's World T20 in the Caribbean where she was dropped for the semi-final against England.&nbsp;

Their spat became public after both wrote to the BCCI and their respective letters got leaked.&nbsp;

But the selectors have reposed their faith on Mithali who retained her place in the T20 squad and captaincy for next month's tour to New Zealand.&nbsp;

"The way things panned out was obviously not in a very good taste. It affected everybody in a different level, in a different way," Mithali said during a promotional event here.&nbsp;&nbsp;

"Now I am sure things are settled and we should give more spotlight on the sport, on the players and in the team."&nbsp;

Mithali said she and her family had to endure a lot of stress after her controversial ouster from the team.&nbsp;

"I can only say that the last few days were very stressful for me and my parents. And also for people around me, especially the way it panned out," she said.&nbsp;

"It definitely did put women's cricket in the spotlight which was not needed. When you talk about non cricketing issues and not the team the focus goes away from the sport.&nbsp;

"Now that we have a tour (vs New Zealand), it's time that we move forward. Look forward and be more positive going forward."&nbsp;

The rift between T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur and ODI captain Mithali was out in the open and the team was sharply divided into camps.&nbsp;

Asked if she would go along well with Harmanpreet, Mithali said: "We will see. When the 15 individual players come together with the support staff, it's a huge and big family.&nbsp;

"And usually in a family there will always be a difference of opinion. Everybody will not have the same kind of perspective. There will be issues and it does happen."&nbsp;

"We last toured there in 2007. Only Jhulan and I from the current team were part of the last tour. For many in the team it will be a first tour. It will be challenging. We should give more importance on the preparation. The priority will be to getting the team together," she said.&nbsp;

With the Supreme Court's next hearing scheduled for January 17, the treasurer said it would have been appropriate to conduct the interviews after the hearing to avoid running into legal tangles.

"Would it not be appropriate to wait till the 17th of January, ie; the next date of hearing before the SC and keep the present matter of coach selection in abeyance till then and have either (Ramesh) Powar continue or have someone else take charge till then?" Chaudhry wrote in his letter.

"It would avoid unnecessary legal issues and unwanted controversy.

India's World Cup-winning former men's coach Gary Kirsten and ex-opener W V Raman have been short-listed for the post, according to a BCCI source.

An ad-hoc selection committee, comprising former captain Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangaswamy, has recommended the names to the Board.

Chaudhry said the BCCI cannot approve an appointment in the current situation.

"Since there is no decision of the CoA in the matter of the selection of the coach, the process and an appointment if any in the present facts and circumstances, are without jurisdiction and without authority and an appointment that may be a result of this process can in no manner be called an appointment for and on behalf of the BCCI."

Edulji, a former India captain, wrote to Rai Thursday morning, asking him to put the interview process on hold, but the ex-Comptroller and Auditor General of India gave the go-ahead after taking former Supreme Court judge BM Srikrishna's opinion on the legality of the move.

Chaudhry felt Edulji, who had earlier also called for the process of interviewing the candidates to be put on hold, is being circumvented by Rai's decision to go ahead with it.

"The email sent by Diana Edulji, member of the CoA, which was copied to the office bearers as well, has touched upon some very fundamental issues. It has given us an unprecedented insight into the working of the CoA, the professional management and the legal team of the BCCI," Chaudhry wrote.

"I regret to state that it does not paint a rosy picture about the state of affairs with regard to the administration of BCCI. To put it mildly, the decision making seems irregular, the outcome of which may prove to be illegal.

"The execution, blind or otherwise, of those decisions casts serious doubts on either the intention or the competence of those who execute it."&nbsp;

The Supreme Court-appointed COA has been divided over the coach selection process.

While Edulji wanted Powar to continue at least till the New Zealand tour starting next month, Rai instructed the BCCI top brass to invite fresh applications for the position which was left vacant after Ramesh Powar's brief stint as interim coach ended last month.&nbsp;

"The BCCI got a clarification from the team management about the incident and would like to classify the reports as baseless."

The Committee of Administrators (COA) wants the BCCI to appoint an ombudsman and an Ethics Officer at the earliest to deal with any disputes leading up to its much-awaited Annual General Meeting and elections.

In its 10th status report to the Supreme Court, the COA explained why the two appointments need to be made before fresh elections are held.

"The newly registered constitution of BCCI requires the appointment of an Ombudsman at the Annual General Meeting for the purpose of providing an independent dispute resolution mechanism...," the COA report stated.&nbsp;

The COA said the Ombudsman must be a retired judge or chief justice of a High Court and must be given a one-year tenure, subject to a maximum of three terms.

It is not yet known when the BCCI AGM will take place where the Board will also hold elections.

The AGM will be conducted as per the new constitution approved by the Supreme Court in its August 9 order, which gave state associations 30 days to comply but some state associations are continuing to oppose some of the reforms, including the age and tenure cap for office-bearers.&nbsp;

"...It is necessary that the first Ombudsman be appointed at the earliest so that the provisions relating to independent dispute resolution mechanism under the newly registered constitution can be implemented immediately."

Once appointed, Ombudsman will deal with grievances raised by members of BCCI and the IPL teams besides addressing acts of "indiscipline, misconduct, breach, etc".

On the need for an Ethics Officer, the COA said: "It is necessary that the first Ethics Officer of BCCI be appointed at the earliest so that the complaints related to Conflict of

Interest can be considered and addressed by a duly qualified person."

The COA, comprising former CAG Vinod Rai and former women's team captain Diana Edulji, also called for a forensic audit of state associations to deal with the misuse of funds.&nbsp;

Johri has been accused of sexual assault by at least one unnamed woman. On Saturday, news reports said a second woman had accused the BCCI CEO of asking for sexual favours.&nbsp;

The BCCI is unlikely to come under the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) ambit anytime soon despite the constant push from the International Cricket Council, said Indian board's acting president CK Khanna.

BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary, who attended the ICC Board meeting in Singapore, has expressed his opinion which is contrary to board''s current stand.

Choudhary has reportedly said that BCCI needs to be WADA compliant even though it has been vehemently opposed by the top cricketers as they have serious reservations over the ''whereabouts clause''.

"The acting secretary had aired his view but that is not the view of the general body of BCCI. I don't think any decision can be taken with regards to policy unless new general body is formed," Khanna told&nbsp;on Saturday.

"I believe even the CoA has decided to leave the matter to the general body. This is a serious issue and the cricketers are the biggest stakeholders in it. You can't alienate them and take a decision in isolation," Khanna said.

The BCCI has always been wary about being signatory to the WADA code as it would effectively bring them under the National Sports Federations (NSFs) umbrella. The BCCI also doesn't take government grants.

For ICC, getting BCCI to sign WADA code is important as the world body is pushing for the sport's inclusion in the Olympics.&nbsp;

The BCCI on Thursday clarified that acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary is attending the ongoing ICC meeting in Singapore in his usual capacity as the world body's Board Director and not as a replacement for CEO Rahul Johri, who is battling allegations of sexual harassment.

Johri did not go to Singapore as he has been asked by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) to submit his response to the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him by an anonymous person, claiming to be his ex-colleague.&nbsp;

"Ever since it was decided that Mr. Rahul Johri would not attend the ICC-CEC meeting, an impression has been created that Mr. Amitabh Choudhary, Acting secretary BCCI, is being sent as a 'substitute' for Mr Johri," read the BCCI statement.

"It must be noted Mr. Choudhary is a Director on the ICC Board of Directors, the highest ICC forum, for nearly two years now and has been representing India/BCCI at the meetings in his capacity as the ICC Board Director," read the BCCI statement.

In Johri's absence, Choudhary, who was going to attend the ICC Board of Directors meeting, will also be part of the Chief Executives' meeting.

"Choudhary was scheduled to attend the ICC Board of Directors meeting in the ongoing ICC conference even if Mr. Johri was going to attend the Chief Executives' meeting.

"Owing to certain circumstances, Mr. Johri is not attending the current meeting, which is attended by the respective Chief Executives of the full member countries. Mr. Choudhary, is, therefore, only, additionally standing in for Mr. Johri," the statement added.

Starting October 15, Johri has 14 days to present his response to the charges.&nbsp;

She alleged that Midway through coffee, Johri told her they were going to his place. The victim says she thought Johri's wife, Seema, whom she had met once, would be at home. But she was not.&nbsp;

When she entered Johri's home in Gurgaon, she asked for water. But Johri began talking to her about hiring her as his second-in-command, the victim added in her post.&nbsp;

He then got up to get her water. When he came back, she says, he took off his pants, saying, "this is the last part of your interview with me", and then made her fellate him.&nbsp;
