<p>The 63-year-old actor will be honoured for his contribution in the field of cinema. He has worked in over 500 films that range from projects in India and abroad. Kher has been working in the space of entertainment for over three decades now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As he was informed of the award, Kher said he is grateful for the award and for being recognised for his work. He said that it will act as an encouragement to keep working in the industry for another 34 years of his life. Kher said, “Thank you IIFA for acknowledging my achievements in Cinema. I am privileged to be a part of our film industry, which has been so generous in the showing of love and warmth upon me.”</p>

<p>His statement continued: “My 34 years of work has helped me achieve great milestones and at a time when actors my age are offered the Lifetime Achievement Award, I prefer to ride on another 34 years exploring new and exciting opportunities in Indian and international Cinema. I am humbled and happy to be the recipient of this award instituted by IIFA.”</p>

<p>He added, “With every such award comes a sense of responsibility which I promise to be committed to, in our industry and also, as a representative of our country in the international arena.”</p>

<p>Kher will be presented with the honour on June 24 at the 19th edition of IIFA.</p>

<p>Anupam Kher has secured a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category at the British Academy Television Awards 2018 for his role in the drama "The Boy with the Topknot".<br />

The show, which aired on BBC Two in 2017, is based on a critically acclaimed memoir of the same name by journalist Sathnam Sanghera.<br />
<br />
Also starring Sacha Dhawan and Deepti Naval, it follows a boy growing up in Wolverhampton to traditional Punjabi parents. Kher and Naval play the parents of the protagonist.<br />

Anupam Kher gets a BAFTA nomination for his role in 'The Boy with the Topknot' 

<p>Anupam Kher recently hosted a surprise dinner for Hollywood actor Robert De Niro and his wife Grace in New York where he had gone to shoot for the pilot episode of an international television series.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He treated them with Indian delicacies for&nbsp;dinner.</p>

<p>Earlier, Kher was given a surprise by his &quot;Silver Linings Playbook&quot;&nbsp;co-star on his birthday when De Niro threw a birthday bash for him in his residence.</p>

<p>How can you be in Mumbai and not get a brush of Bollywood? Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met some of Bollywood&#39;s prominent faces at an event in Mumbai&#39;s Taj Palace on Tuesday.<br />

The PM was accompanied by his wife &nbsp;Sophie and kids, Xavier and Ella. The couple&#39;s youngest son Hadrien was not seen at the event.&nbsp;<br />

Dressed in a gold sherwani Trudeau greeted and posed with the likes Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Anupam Kher at the occasion. His wife Sophie wore a cream colour saree while his children were seen wearing kurta-pajama.</p>

<p>Abhishek Bachchan&rsquo;s Twitter account was hacked on Wednesday by pro-Pakistani Turkish cyber army Ayyildiz Tim, which had earlier hacked veteran actor Anupam Kher&rsquo;s Twitter account.<br />

As a result of the hacking, the blue, verified tick from Abhishek&#39;s profile had vanished and his profile photo was replaced by a photo of a missile that read Ayyildiz Tim in chalk. Abhishek&rsquo;s profile also had several tweets in Turkish.<br />

The issue, though, was sorted by Twitter later in the evening and the actor took a humorous look at the whole thing.&nbsp;<br />

<p>Dabboo Ratnani&#39;s 2018 calendar is out and it has half of Bollywood featured in it. From Shah Rukh Khan to Amitabh Bachchan to Kajol to Alia Bhatt- a host of Bollywood A listers&nbsp;feature in the calendar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The launch event was a starry event as Dabboo, his wife Manisha and their three kids played host to stars who came to admire the stunning photographs. Making her debut in the calendar this year, Miss World Manushi Chhillar also attended the event dressed in a sequined mini-dress. The beauty queen posed for photos with the legendary Rekha.&nbsp;</p>

The 2018 calendar features a bevy of stars.

Dabboo Ratnani's 2018 calendar is out and it has half of Bollywood featured in it. From Shah Rukh Khan to Amitabh Bachchan to Kajol to Alia Bhatt- a host of Bollywood A listers feature in the calendar. The launch event was a starry event as Dabboo, his wife Manisha and their three kids played host to stars who came to admire the stunning photographs. Making her debut in the calendar this year, Miss World Manushi Chhillar also attended the event dressed in a sequined mini-dress. The beauty queen posed for photos with the legendary Rekha. Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma, Anupam Kher were also seen at the event. Here are some of the photos of the starry night. Shashi Tharoor makes a bad pun on Miss World Manushi Chhillar; irks Twitterati

<p>Newly-appointed FTII <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/anupam-kher-appointed-new-ftii-chairman-21276">chairman Anupam Kher reported </a>to work in the Pune-based film school today.</p>

<p>The veteran actor who was appointed <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/gajendra-chauhan-on-anupam-khers-appointment-ftii-needed-a-good-administrator-more-than-a-good-actor-21334">as the new chairman of Television Institute of India</a> (FTII) last week, spent the day today taking classes at the institute and even spared some time to eat with students in the canteen.</p>

<p>Kher said he would be taking more classes at FTII as he begins to understand the dynamics of the film school.</p>

<p>&nbsp;The actor stood in the queue at the counter of the canteen with other students.</p>

<p>&quot;....39 years ago, I came to this place as a student. Today, I once again came to the institute without informing anybody, as I wanted to walk into this premier institute as a student. This is the place where I learned how to face a camera and at NSD (National School of Drama) I learned how to act,&quot; he told reporters on the campus.</p>
