Anupam Kher to play Manmohan Singh in 'The Accidental Prime Minister'

Veteran actor Anupam Kher is set to place former Indian prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh in the movie The Accidental Prime Minister.

Anupam Kher on Wednesday shared the first poster for his new movie. The film is based on the book, The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh, a memoir written by Indian policy analyst Sanjaya Baru.

The movie is expected to release in 2018. It will be directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and produced by Sunil Bohra.

Its screenplay is by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta.
