The termination of partnership will result in a loss of USD 246 for the brand in its fourth-quarter sales. The production and sales of his Yeezy products have stopped as well as payments to West and his companies.&nbsp;

West partnered with Adidas in 2013, when he ended his relationship with rival brand Nike. In 2016, the brand expanded its relationship with the rapper calling it the most expensive partnership it has had with a non-athlete.&nbsp;

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said in a statement.

Human rights campaigners had previously called out the German firm for its continued silence over West's comments&nbsp;that have made him more and more isolated from the businesses and brands that have made him fabulously wealthy.

"Thousands of signatures, and still no word, @adidas? Your silence is a danger to Jews," tweeted Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. "We can't let Ye's #antisemitism become normalized - we all need to demand Adidas #RunAwayFromHate by condemning his racist rhetoric &amp; re-evaluating their partnership."

Earlier this month, the company had said that it was reviewing its relationship with West after he appeared at a fashion show in Paris wearing a shirt with the slogan "White Lives Matter."

The phrase is a dog whistle to right-wing groups in the United States and a reaction to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Days later he was locked out of Twitter and Instagram for threatening to "Go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE."

Over the weekend a banner was hoisted over a busy Los Angeles freeway that read&nbsp;"Kanye is right about the Jews" and "Honk if you know."

Several activists were photographed making "Heil Hitler" salutes. On Monday, one of Hollywood's biggest talent agencies, CAA, said it was dropping West.

Film and TV producer MRC said it was shelving an already-finished documentary about West. 
"We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform," the company said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Other leading figures in entertainment, including Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel called on all companies to cut ties with West.

"Those who continue to do business with West are giving his misguided hate an audience," Emanuel wrote in the Financial Times. "There should be no tolerance anywhere for West’s anti-Semitism."

Last week Paris-based fashion house Balenciaga ended ties with West, saying it "no longer (has) any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist."&nbsp;

West's ex-wife Kim Kardashian appeared to be joining the pile-on, though her tweet did not mention the father of her children by name.

"Hate speech is never OK or excusable," she wrote on Twitter and Instagram on Monday.

"I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end."

The company, whose founders had ties to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, announced several weeks ago that it was reviewing its relationship with West after he reportedly became disgruntled with how the brand was marketing his products.

"After repeated efforts to privately resolve the situation, we have taken the decision to place the partnership under review," Adidas said in a statement in early October.

West had accused Adidas of arranging marketing events and bringing back older styles without his approval.

He also said the brand had hired staff to work under him and organized a "Yeezy Day" without his involvement.

Announcing the review, Adidas did not mention recent tensions, but said its partnership with the rapper had been "one of the most successful collaborations in our industry's history" and was "rooted in mutual respect and shared values."

West, who half-heartedly ran for president of the United States in 2020, has spoken openly about his struggles with mental illness, but his erratic behaviour has continued to raise concerns.

The umbrella, in addition to its high price, does not protect the user from rain because it is not waterproof. It appears to be a'sun umbrella.'

According to the Gucci website, "Part of the adidasxGucci line, this sun umbrella includes the Interlocking G and Trefoil design." The Web contrasts with the three white stripes, and the GG emblem blends with the trefoil in this adidas and Gucci collaboration. "

The umbrella features a carved birch-wood handle, green and red web, and a G-shaped handle.&nbsp;

"Please note, this item is not waterproof and is meant for sun protection or decorative use," Gucci adds.

Soon after this went viral, many began to ask why an umbrella that doesn't even stop rain was being sold at such high prices.

Leaky 'sun umbrellas' worth $1642: Adidas, Gucci slammed in China

A new sports bra ad by well-known sports brand Adidas has been banned for being 'too explicit'. The brand new advert featured photographs of bare breasts of various skin colours, shapes&nbsp;and sizes in a grid format.&nbsp;The advert appeared in three formats- as a tweet and two posters.&nbsp; 
 
Soon after the advert was released, objections were raised by certain people online. Now, reports stated that the Advertising Standards Agency found all three versions objectionable and could cause widespread offence and hence decided to ban it.&nbsp; 
 
The brand said the adverts "show just how diverse breasts are" and therefore how important the correct sports bra is.

A spokesperson for Adidas UK, however, told BBC, that it stood proudly behind the message that it continued to display on its website. 
 
The first campaign was posted in February with the text, "We believe women's breasts in all shapes and sizes deserve support and comfort. Which is why our new sports bra range contains 43 styles, so everyone can find the right fit for them." 
 
The two posters showed similar cropped images of 62 and 64 women, and stated, "The reasons we didn't make just one new sports bra." 
 
ASA reportedly received 24 complaints that the campaign's use of nudity was gratuitous and objectified women by sexualising them and "reducing them to body parts". 
 
Some people had contacted them asking whether the posters were appropriate to be on display where they could be seen by children. 
 
Many on Twitter also reported the brand's tweet.&nbsp; 
 
The ASA said it did not think the way the women were portrayed in the tweet was sexually explicit or objectified them. But it did find that the tweet was likely to cause a stir as many would raise offence at the explicit nudity. ASA stated that the advert needed careful targeting to avoid causing offence. 
 
ASA decided that posters were not suitable to be displayed in areas where they could be seen by children. Meanwhile, Adidas UK said the images "were intended to "reflect and celebrate different shapes and sizes, illustrate the diversity and demonstrate why tailored support bras were important". 
 
The brand also added that the images had been cropped to protect the identity of the models and to ensure their safety. All models, the brand claimed, had volunteered to be in the ad and were supportive of its aims.

Denying the accusation, Puma said ''we strongly insist on the fact and reconfirm that Puma does not source any cotton from the Xinjiang region. We do reiterate that we do not have any relations – direct or indirect - with any cotton supplier in the Xinjiang region.''

“Based on all the information we obtained through our investigations, and the traceability controls we put in place in our supply chain, we are confident that we do not source cotton from the Xinjiang region.”

It comes after German clothing companies vowed to change their supply chain policies owing to accusations of concentration camps and forced labour in the Chinese region.

China rejects accusations of abuse in Xinjiang, describing the camps as vocational centres designed to combat extremism.

Cotton imports from the Xinjiang region were banned by the United States after the UN said that 1 million Uyghurs have been held in mass detention.

That was the in-your-face message at Gucci's runway show Friday at Milan Fashion Week, where one could be excused for thinking they'd showed up at the wrong show.&nbsp;

Instead of Gucci's decades-old world-famous stripe logo in green and red, suddenly guests at the show saw Adidas' three white stripes everywhere -- on bodices, baseball caps and running down the length of the male and female models' arms and thighs.

And if the hit-them-over-the-head-hard branding message still hadn't sunk in, the name "Gucci" underneath Adidas' trefoil logo was also added to the mix.&nbsp;

Newsflash: Gucci and Adidas are collaborating. In a short statement, Adidas confirmed the joining of forces, saying the union "combines the heritage and the creative codes of both brands".

The mutual admiration society between the luxury apparel and sneaker brands left some enthused, and others puzzled, with images of unlikely pairings (avocado and watermelon anyone?) and head-scratching memes appearing on Twitter shortly after the show.&nbsp;

In the front row, there was Serena Williams and Rihanna, too -- pregnant, in a black latex bra with a lavender fur and sparkly Cleopatra-style headdress.&nbsp;

But back to the collaboration.&nbsp;Stripes were on capes, stripes were on blazers, stripes were on gloves, berets and more.&nbsp; A "Little House on the Prairie"-like a dress with puffy sleeves and long ruffle skirt had stripes running down the bodice, sleeves, hem and high frilly collar. Plus the new Gucci trefoil at the waist.

A form-fitting superhero look with a built-in blue corset and Gucci's signature two-Gs fabric was -- you guessed it -- adorned with stripes. &nbsp;&nbsp;

On Instagram, Gucci designer Alessandro Michele said the clothes were "magical machines that can give birth to fairy tales of metamorphosis and re-enchantment."

And maybe bring in some cash.&nbsp;Of course, Michele's favourite vintage mash-ups were still front and centre, whether patterned wool coats with furry collars, plaid suits, or other retro combinations in mustard, olive and other 1970s shades.

Gucci sales have sharply risen in recent months, helped by the 'House of Gucci'&nbsp;film starring Lady Gaga and the success of Michele's recent collections.

The collaboration is not the brand's first, having previously collaborated with couture label Balenciaga, and Microsoft XBox. &nbsp;

Meanwhile, Adidas' own brand has managed to eat into Nike's supremacy in the United States, aided by collaborations with superstars such as Kanye West, Beyonce, and Pharrell Williams.&nbsp;

Reebok will keep its headquarters in Boston and continue operations in North and Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Russia, the U.S. brand management firm said in a statement, adding it will work closely with Adidas during the transition.

Over 11 years, ABG has amassed more than 30 labels sold in some 6,000 stores. Its brands include apparel chains Aéropostale and Forever21, as well as and Sports Illustrated magazine.

Activists and U.N. experts say that more than 1 million Muslim&nbsp;Uighurs and other Turkic Muslims are being held against their will in harsh camps in the remote western region.

Chinese state media had singled out H&amp;M on Wednesday over a statement reported last year where the Swedish fashion retailer said it was deeply concerned by reports of accusations of forced labour in Xinjiang, and that it did not source products from the Chinese region.

However, there are&nbsp;still some brands that are yet to raise their voices against&nbsp;China's human rights abuses. These include 83 brands which are&nbsp;directly or indirectly benefiting from China's&nbsp;abusive labour programs.

According to report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute,&nbsp;more than 80,000 Uighurs were transfered out of Xinjiang between 2017 and 2019.

They were&nbsp;were sent to factories far away from home, forced to live in segregated dormitories as well as undergo&nbsp;lessons in mandarin and ideological training.

In these factories, they are&nbsp;subjected to constant surveillance and are&nbsp;are forbidden from celebrating their festivals. If&nbsp;they refuse to comply, the&nbsp;they are sent to detention camps.

The report states&nbsp;that 27 factories in 9 Chinese provinces&nbsp;are part of this abusive labour program.

In July 2020, Adidas and Lacoste pledged to cut down on forced labour supply chains. While in November, Apple was lobbying against a bill to stop companies benefiting from forced labour.

The production of high-tech running shoes at its so-called speed factories in Germany's Ansbach and in the US city of Atlanta "will be discontinued by April 2020 at the latest", Adidas said in a statement.

Just three years ago, the Bavaria-based group had hailed its speed factory concept, which uses highly automated processes to make shoes more quickly, more customised and closer to sales outlets, as proof that manufacturing jobs could return to high-wage countries.

But from the end of this year, the speed factor shoes will join Adidas' other models and be produced by existing suppliers in Asia, the group said.

Citing "advancements" made at the suppliers, the move would make the production of the shoes "more flexible and economic while simultaneously expanding the range of products available", Adidas executive board member Martin Shankland said.

Both the speed factories churn out just a million of the roughly 400 million athletic shoes made by the group each year.

The future of the Ansbach plant's 160 workers is unclear at the moment.&nbsp;

The factory is operated by the German technology firm Oechsler, which has collaborated with Adidas on the project.

Oechsler CEO Claudius Kozlik said in the same statement that he regretted Adidas' pullout.

But he stressed that the two companies would continue to work together on soles for football shoes and 4D-printed soles.
